Last week, Rob Lowe filed a lawsuit against three former employees. The star of Brothers and Sisters says that one of these former employees, former nanny Jessica Gibson, wanted $1.5 million to remain silent about allegations of abuse. Gibson, who worked for Rob and Sheryl Lowe on and off for seven years, filed a claim in Santa Barbara yesterday. She claims that the actor sexually abused her on numerous occasions from September 2005 to January 2008. Why did she stay for so long? "I always thought it would be different when I went back, but it was not. I stayed as long as I did because of the children and because I needed a job," Gibson explained. Her lawyer added that if the Lowes think that sueing Gibson as a pre-emptive strike will intimidate her, "I can assure them it will not." Gibson's countersuit seeks an unspecified amount of damages.

I hate to blame the victim, but it does sound fishy when the accuser chooses to go back to work for an alleged abuser.
"Needed the job"? How bad do you need a job to willingly submit to sexual abuse - over a 3-year period?!? Sounds like someone's in deep debt...

Maybe she liked the abuse? Or maybe it wasn't abuse. You can't rape the willing. If she was abused, why isn't she going to the po-po? Because she knows they will figure out she is full o' shit. Something definitely smells fishy here. But then again, Rob Lowe ain't no saint either. He does like 'em young.

Nobody's going to say that her allegations might hold some water? I mean, yes, it's suspicious that she worked there for three years. Maybe it was good money though.
And no, I don't think Rob Lowe raped this girl but he's no angel either. Lots of stuff could've happened. I'm interested to see how this plays out, i.e. if it goes to court, how much money she gets if she gets any, etc.
