I haven't seen too much about this but Showtime recently updated their site. So I figure it's worth mentioning when you consider the cult following this comedy has developed. Showtime has slated the season four premiere of Weeds for Monday, June 16th. If that seems like a tight schedule, well... it is. Especially considering that they're starting from scratch following the WGA Strike and that production resumes this week.
There are some changes to note though...
- Unlike last season's extra episode order (there were 15 installments), this time we're back to the traditional 13.
- This one is disappointing to me. Despite the season two renewal, Californication won't be paired with Weeds this time around. Instead, Showtime has scheduled Weeds with the new British import, Secret Diary of a Call Girl. (No Hank Moody? Booo...)
So what does everyone think? Are you excited to find out what the charred remains of Nancy's neighborhood looks like? With all the pot in those houses, I bet the firefighters had a good time putting it out...

Season 3 was a disappointment. Season 2 was by far the best, and I doubt the future episodes can live up to it.

Well willmore... the show is in for a major major change this season.
Spoilers for those who don't want to know.
We will no longer be in Agrestic/Majestic.
Nancy will be starting up a new partnership with Guillermo.
End spoilers.
Secret Diary of a Call Girl is a great show. I think it will go perfectly with Weeds.

I thought Weeds was part of Lionsgate. Didn't they make a deal with the WGA early in the strike?

I read this news a few days ago when MLP and her boyfriend broke up, at the very end they had the date.
I also think it seems rather soon, more so because of the strike. I wish they delayed it so it could be paired with CA...
And how is 13 traditional? On Showtime they pick random numbers. Season 1 had 10, season 2 had 13, season 3 had 15.

I didn't much care for Secret Diary as a show, but it's definitely worth watching to see Billie Piper in her smalls

I'm happy to see Weeds coming back. But I'm frikkin thrilled that they'll be showing Secret Diary. I adore Billie Piper! Can't wait to see her return on Doctor Who.

She won't be returning to her old home. The whole purpose of the season ender was for her to move and start anew, especially with the feds on her tail (though she is currently unaware of that).
I enjoyed last season but if they turn Season 4 into Nancy and co. avoiding the DEA, then I'll tune out. That's not what Weeds should ever be about.
