(S09E28) So Ryan has won the power of veto and rectified Adam's stupid nominations. That means, this girl to the right and Team Christ (ridiculous name) is still in power. Now, I don't like James. But I don't like Team Christ either. Does that make me a bad Christian? What would that zealot Natalie say? I'm just so sick of TC thinking that they are the "chosen" houseguests and when things go their way, it's the work of God. Okay, on to the review. Find out tonight's drama, who got evicted, and what happened in the HOH competition after the jump...
Post-Veto Scheming:
James wasn't laying down on the job this week. After Adam replaced Sheila's nomination with James, the mohawked hamster went to work. His plan? Take out Natalie. He even said he's okay with leaving the game but, "I want to take out that bitch before I leave." James started by trying to get under Natalie's skin. While the gang was sitting out on the patio, he jested with her asking "Why don't you work out anymore since Mattie left?" He then pointed out to an amused group (one that included Sheila and Adam) that all Natalie does now is tan. James even went so far as to say that Natalie is getting fat. Natalie was NOT happy with James' joking and yelled at everyone else for laughing with him. She threatened Adam with a nomination if he didn't stick up for her.
While playing chess, James furthered his campaign with Ryan. He wanted to form an all-male alliance and take out Natalie. Ryan was skeptical and said he would only vote to keep James if James was 100% sure that someone else would keep him. James replied that he could get Sheila. In the sauna room, he approached Sheila with the same deal: give him another week and he'll work to take out Natalie. He brought up a good point too. James is probably the only person who can beat Natalie in a competition, especially an endurance competition (Ryan and Adam worried about this earlier in the show).
And all the while, Natalie played both sides: her girlfriends and her boys. Outside tanning on the lounge chairs, she told Sharon and Sheila that they had to stick together. She even said that the girls should focus on getting Adam out. In the bathroom, Sheila told Sharon that she didn't believe a word of Natalie's pep talk.
Natalie then told Adam in the kitchen that Sheila wants to get him out. Sneaky, sneaky.
Pre-Eviction Talk with Julie
Sharon and Natalie were asked about religion in the game. Natalie said that she believes in God and whatever happens is his will. That's why she's "kind of religious" in the game. Sharon was diplomatic and agreed that there was a reason for everything that happened, both in and out of the game. She then
added that it's everyone's choice whether or not to bring religion into the Big Brother house.
The Chenster then turned her attentions to Adam asking about the "babies" and what he looked for in a woman. "Style. Positive attitude and good conversation is key. Cause if it gets boring I'm outta there," he answered.
Finally Julie asked James about all the pranks the boys pull on Sheila. Why is it always Sheila? "Sheila's a lot of fun with the reactions," he responded. And James added that Sheila is the only one that can take all the pranks. Sheila said that the houseguests make her feel younger.
In the diary room, Natalie said that James was a warrior and she couldn't wait to see him out of the house. Sheila thinks that James could beat Natalie. And Sheila doesn't know if she herself can take out Natalie. On the other hand, Sheila thinks James is a "con man" and she "would be devastated if this guy knocks [her] out." Ryan also wondered about the pros and cons of keeping James. He thinks James might be good for an all-guy alliance.
Sharon's Video Package
In Sharon's video package, we met her family in Kansas. Her dad is a long-time member of the Marines. (Did you see all those
medals?) Her mother also mentioned how religious Sharon was. Sharon suffered a horrible car accident last year and says that by the grace of God she made it out unscathed. Sharon's mother said that the accident solidified Sharon's relationship with God. Now, I just want to point something out. Notice how you never really hear Sharon spouting out bible verses and saying she's on Team Christ and calling for the Lord's vengeance. That's because she's a sincerely religious person. Okay, now I'm done pontificating.
Jury House
So did anyone else catch where all the other people are (i.e. Alex, Jen, Amanda, Parker)? Remember they had three houses of evicted couples in sequester before the James' return? I wonder if they let all those houseguests go home now. I was wondering if BB would have all of them as jury members (something that's never been done before). What did you readers think?
Okay, now onto what happened in the jury house so far. Mattie is upset because he's alone with only his thoughts all day. And I think we know Matt's thoughts aren't much company. Chelsia joined him and they started play fighting and flirting right away. Despite all the seemingly sexual tension, Chelsia claims that she's not attracted to Matt and she won't be hooking up with him in the sequester house. Good, Nattie will be relieved.
When Josh arrived, Chelsia hugged him but lamented that it wasn't Natalie joining them in sequester. Matt called Josh a "bitchy female" and a "girl on her period." (Wow. I always knew he was a classy guy. Not that I'm defending Josh.) Matt kept quiet while Josh made fun of Natalie (the girl who masterminded his departure) saying she couldn't even spell "vegetable." Matt then said in a confessional that he hoped Natalie wins because she's the most deserving of the money and because she'll probably buy him something nice with her winnings. I think the latter is the real reason Matt's on Team Natalie. Ahem, I mean Team Christ.
The Eviction
Natalie voted to evict James.
Ryan voted to evict James.
Sheila voted to evict James.
When the Chenbot announced James was evicted by unanimous vote, he left with dignity and hugged everyone good-bye. I was thanking my lucky stars that he didn't make a stupid self-righteous speech (ala Josh) or rip everyone apart (ala Chelsia). In his interview with Julie, he said that he couldn't wait to leave the house after the hamsters voted him back. When Julie pressed about who James would be friends with outside the game, he said Adam and Sheila. Then James added that he hated Natalie and Ryan and "what they stand for."
Head of Household
Looks like Ryan and Adam's worst fear came true with this competition. In "Glass Houses," the houseguests had to grab onto a chain or a bar in a glass cage as the floor dropped out from underneath them. An endurance competition. Even if Natalie gets
tired, she can still psych out the other hamsters. With James gone, she has the best track record for endurance competitions. I think Sharon has the best chance of beating Natalie but even she said that she injured her back the other day. By the time we returned from the commercial break Ryan was already sweating bullets and looking like he was in pain. This is not a competition for a big guy. Adam said he was so happy he didn't have to compete in this.
BB is also blowing some sort of smoke up into the glass boxes. Did anyone catch what it was? I don't remember the Chenbot explaining that part. Sheila said that it was stinky in her box. She looked exhausted already too.
Find out who wins HOH and who they put up for nomination, this Sunday 8 p.m. ET / PT on CBS.

Hating Natalie. If she makes it to the final 2, she'll win.

I don't know about that. Right now 3 of the jury absolutely hate her so if she is in the final two with Ryan, Adam or Sheila, they will most likely get those 3 votes and would only need one more which would probably be Sharon to push them over the top.
Her best bet will be to be in the final two with Sharon.

So Sheila has a stinky box? Who woulda thunk it?

Kristin you are right about the Christian perspective. You have Natalie calling herself a Christian after a few weeks earlier after giving Matt a blowjob. You got all those so-called Christians smoking and swearing and doing many non-Christian things.

Thanks, I'm glad someone else is bothered by them. (I think I would actually like them if it wasn't for the self-righteous Christian stuff). I hate the good vs. evil rhetoric too. It's extremist and ignorant. James was immature and whiney. Josh behaved disgracefully. But I would not call either of them evil.
Even Evel Dick wasn't evil. A complete dick, yes. But not evil. :)

I agree that the whole God thing is nauseating. I mean I think the big guy has other things on his plate than BB9, but I never heard of smoking as being un-Christian like. BTW, she gave Matt a BJ? Damn I never heard that till now.
It seems that Nat and Adam or really the ones on the whole religious kick. I think Ryan is just going along for the ride and going along with the Team Christ to stay out of Nat's psycho cross hairs. Same with Sheila.

I don't like Natalie either but if she wins then she deserves it. She is smarter than she comes across. She is playing a good game, a smart game.

The non-jury houseguests have been released from sequester. Parker is back at work - you can see him from time to time on the TMZ TV show. A few of the celebrities have been grilling him on the house (Shannon Elizabeth is apparently a fan.)
