"Indecision 2008": With the race growing more and more intense with every day, Barack Obama has been doing his damnedest to get voters. He even went to join some everyman-types in Pennsylvania at a bowling alley, despite the fact that he is -- to put it nicely -- an outrageously crappy bowler. I love it whenever they find an excuse to play that video of President Bush trying to throw shapes with that African dance troupe. It makes me feel better about my own lack of rhythm. And in defense of that guy that made himself sound like an idiot by suggesting that Obama stick to playing hoops, he may have been referring to Obama's "We play hoops" yearbook picture. Yeah? No? He's probably just a racist douchebag? Fair enough. As for Hillary Clinton, she's been staying away from bowling and just working on staying in the game, even with the media repeatedly speculating whether or not she's ruining it for the rest of the Democratic party. Arbitrary end dates for the win!
"Donkey Punch": Yes, "Donkey Punch" is a reference to, um, something. Educate yourself on Urban Dictionary if you must. I swear I only looked it up because Stephen Colbert once mentioned that the term was considered as the title for one of the Colbert Reports' Democratic segments. Now that you've gotten your sick curiosity out of the way... This segment was actually pretty good! Way to go, Jason Jones. His interview (and arm-wrestling) with the Love Actually and Celine Dion-loving superdelegate Jason Rae was well-done. The Gary Hart stuff over the credits was also entertaining. I think Mr. Hart may be the last person in the country to not know that TDS is a satire. Hopefully he understood once he saw those graphics of him fighting Jesus American Gladiators style.
The night's guest was Simon LeVay, promoting his book When Science Goes Wrong. When Jon said that the guest was a scientist, I sort of silently groaned, because any scientist who is not Neil deGrasse Tyson can't hold my attention for more than five seconds. However, the very mention of a guy with a baby growing in his head got me. Was that serious? If so, I'm totally sold on this book. Initially, I was worried that the guest was going to try too hard to out-funny Jon, but he stopped just short of being annoying. Plus, he had the stomach flu, so I think he should be commended for showing up anyway and not throwing up all over the desk.
Jon/Stephen: A toss! Thank goodness. I've missed these. Anyway, this was a great take on the April Fools' pranks. I completely lost it at the end, because I guess Stephen plays "shot" very well. After all, that clip of him getting shot in the chest by Conan O'Brien still makes me laugh. Moment of Zen: Mr. Brooks and Mrs. Clinton... It works.

The guy in context may not have been racist about Senator Obama playing basketball. He played in high school and many, many articles have been written, very recently, about his pickup games and his brother-in-law, a college coach.
This is probably one of the oldest articles:

I'd give the guy a pass too. Obama's been featured several times lately playing ball, and displaying some talent for it at that.

Hey A-dawg... point of reference here but I live in Altoona... I work about 8 blocks from where Senator Change bowled last Saturday... and if my sister would have text messaged me 30 minutes earlier that he was there... I could have gotten you an Aut-O-graph. (get it... Aut...O...graph... yeah... I'm a loser!)
Anywhoot A-dawg... I'm sure you could beat a 37 in bowling and I'm sure you'd look a lot cuter in your size 4 bowling shoes.
Damn straight skippy!

Yeah Jon was a bit out of line calling that guys a racist; Obama's an avid basketball player.

Yo A-dawg... check it --
I just heard on the news that President Bill Clinton is coming to Altoona tomorrow (Thursday). This is like 'Lib Central' around here all of a sudden. I'm not sure if he's going to the bowling alley... or the alley behind the bowling alley. (Okay... that was inappropriate)
I wonder if Jon Stewert will do any reporting from here. If so you're totally allowed to crash at my place if you want to stalk him.

Yeah, I think TDS writers should've done a bit more research on that basketball joke... Obama has pretty regularly said he's a huge basketball player, and that he plays before every election day for good luck.
