NBC unveiled their new schedule today, weeks ahead of all of the other networks, and here are some highlights of their "52-week schedule".
Returning: 30 Rock, Medium, The Office, Celebrity Apprentice, Life, Chuck, Heroes, Dateline, Deal Or No Deal, My Name Is Earl, America's Got Talent, Last Comic Standing, Nashville Star, The Biggest Loser, American Gladiators, SNL, ER, Law and Order, and Law and Order: SVU.
Gone: Scrubs (probably moving to ABC), Bionic Woman, Amnesia, 1 vs. 100, Journeyman.
Also: There will be a spinoff of The Office, which will air after the Super Bowl (along with an episode of The Office). Friday Night Lights has been renewed for 13 episodes. The episodes will first air on DirecTV in the fall, and then air on NBC in the winter. In the summer of 2009, NBC will air repeats of Monk and also debut the new reality shows Shark Taggers and The Chopping Block, and The Listener, a drama.
The network is also going to ask advertisers to sponsor entire programs, similar to how sponsors were involved with programs in the 1950s.

They green-light a new Knight Rider show after that HORRIBLE pilot, and still let Journeyman go? There truly is no justice in this world.

I enjoyed the pilot of "Knight Rider" and am happy NBC picked it up. I enjoyed "Journeyman", too, and am not happy it's gone.

I think you mean Scrubs is moving to ABC, not to NBC.

God damn it! Thanks for never giving Journeyman the chance it deserved, NBC. Now I have even less faith in your Godforsaken network. Grrr...

This needs to be on the reality-free feed! Maybe you should make reality-free the default, so we don't have to rely on you making certain you forget to include the "reality-free" tag on a post. I think the reality-freeers would rather have an occassional extraneous post than an omission of something like this.

I see in the Hollywood Reporter that, once again, The Office will begin the season with four 1-hr eps. So we can look forward to re-hashing that tired debate next Fall!

Office spinoff sounds like the worst idea ever. Since NBC couldn't even spin off Friends (Joey) successfully, why do they think they'll get a massive influx of new viewers to watch a spin off of a show with no audience (compared to Friends). I love the Office, but they already showed that its getting kind of thin with the hour episodes. The Heroes spin off would have been much better, since that is essentially how comic books work anyway. I will probably only watch the returning shows(Heroes, Chuck, 30 Rock and The Office and Friday Night Lights on DirecTV!), given that NBC likes to cancel stuff really quickly.
Of the new shows, My Own Worst Enemy sounds okay.... but NBC already has a comedy spy show with Chuck, and nobody has come close to the excellence that was Alias and is MI5 on BBC as far as serious spy shows go. Crusoe (sp?) could be interesting if it doesn't try to be the next Lost. If it does it will fail horribly. But again... i'm not watching unless the ratings are there.

Friday Night Lights will air on DirectTV in the Fall? New episodes on OnDemand? I don't quite understand that.
Anyway, NBC sucks, so I don't really care about their schedule. I only watch Medium, Heroes and 30 Rock. They can do whatever they want with the rest of the schedule.

Ok, why the hell is Life on Friday nights at 10. Unless BSG is on, who watches TV at that hour? It sucks that NBC's best shows are on in the TV graveyard slots.

By the way, folks, I just pinged the PR guy for "Scrubs" to see what the show's fate is now that it's off NBC's schedule. He didn't have any news to report, unfortunately. Hopefully, we'll hear something soon.

not saying it is a great network but for someone who is on this site as much as you to completely not watch heroes, office, 30 rock, or american gladiators (had to throw one reality garbage in there) is puzzling at best

Would Law and Order: Criminal Intent not be mentioned because it's gone? Since NBC was giving 1st run rights to USA like the FNL/DirectTV deal, I would think it would be listed if returning.
Let's hope. It's much better than a lot of the stuff NBC is bringing on (Knight Rider, cough, cough)

Law and Order: CI has new episodes coming this June to USA. No word so far on whether it's coming back to NBC, although I'd be surprised if it wasn't.

I hope this Christian Slater thing absolutely bombs. In fact, I hope that Monday 10pm slot is forever cursed because of the Journeyman cancellation.

Don't you mean the "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" curse?
But seriously, the best new show of each of the last two seasons has ended up at the 10pm slot on Monday night and both times they've been dumped. Damn you David Caruso!!!!! Damn you to hell!!!!
