Joss Whedon producing web musical

Joss WhedonThe man never stops working, even during a writer's strike. According to his blog, Joss Whedon has finished writing a web musical consisting of three ten-minute episodes.

The show is called Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog and will star Neil Patrick Harris as Doctor Horrible and Nathan Fillion (who played Captain Malcolm Reynolds in Joss' previous works Firefly and Serenity) as Captain Hammer. On top of all this, he's still working on the television show Dollhouse and writing comics.

Having seen his previous musical, the "Once More With Feeling" episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I'm looking forward to this new work. Admittedly, I'm also a fan of comic book superheroes and can't wait for Joss to skew the genre, since he's obviously a fan too.

I presume that the musical will be visually produced and not just an audio concert although nothing in his post indicates as such. The story does take place in a laundromat, so it doesn't sound that expensive to make. I wonder where the web video will end up going. YouTube? Whedonesque?
