No surprise here, but Eliot Spitzer announced his resignation the old-school way, full of shame and next to his wife. If someone had tried to explain the Tainted Gov trailer to me, I probably would have rolled my eyes and muttered something rude, but actually watching was pretty funny. Maybe it's because a film with Eliot Spitzer, Method Man and Red would be the greatest thing in the universe. Maybe. Correspondent John Oliver stopped by to explain how Spitzer was upholding his promise to clean up the government by resigning."Indecision 2008": What's this? Something not sex scandal related? Surely they jest. Well, Barack Obama scored a big victory in the Mississippi primary and the media wasn't surprised. CNN tried to explain some things, but it was pretty obvious that they're were more concerned with showing off their sexy technology. Jon used his own "touch screen" to make the most awesome display ever. Burger King, NASCAR, and a koala! If the Spitzer, Method Man, and Red Man team doesn't work out...
The night's guest was Ronald Kessler, author of The Terrorist Watch: Inside the Desperate Race to Stop the Next Attack. The last part of this interview was incredibly awkward, not because of pregnant pauses or failed jokes, but because it was so obvious that Jon didn't agree with this guy at all as soon as waterboarding came up. The discussion that ensued prompted a few "Oh, my God!"s from the audience and even an exasperated "Okay..." from Kessler. I did, however, enjoy that fun fact about Saddam Hussein loving baby wipes.
Moment of Zen: It's South Koreans... IN SPACE!
