Rachael Ray's show is safe; Page Six is wrong again

Rachael RayToday's New York Post has a gossip item that says King World execs are unhappy with the ratings for Rachael Ray's syndicated cooking/talk show and are not going to renew her contract when it's up in 2010.

Only one problem: the report isn't true and is full of inaccuracies (I know, Page Six inaccurate - shocking!).

The Huffington Post ran a story about it today as well and they were quickly contacted by a rep at King World that says not only is Rachael Ray's show safe, the ratings are actually up from last year, not down.

Page Six also said that one of the reasons why Ray's show might be canceled is because they want to make room for Marie Osmond's new talk show. Unfortunately, King World isn't even syndicating Osmond's show.

I haven't watched Ray's show in months. She's OK in small doses, but anything more...yikes. And beyond the cooking segments, which I got less and less interested in because she just rushes through them in some sort of performance art type of thing rather than truly teaching us how to cook something, there was nothing for a guy to latch onto. I mean, I really don't want make-up tips, relationship advice, or tips on how to organize my closets.
