Here are the weekly TV ratings, by number of viewers.
No shock that American Idol grabs the first three slots again this week (and helps push both New Amsterdam episodes into the top 20), but I'm curious as to why the Thursday results show isn't higher than the Tuesday and Wednesday episodes, and why some weeks the Tuesday ep is number 1 in the ratings and other weeks the Wednesday show is number 1.
Lost continues to impress on its new night, and if you're wondering how 20/20 got to be number 5 for the week, it was the special "Royal Family" episode.

8. Survivor (CBS)

For those of you who like a better analysis of ratings, I highly suggest

I have nothing to do with the site, but someone else posted it and it is very comprehensive.

Personally, I don't watch the Idol results show because it annoys me in its time-wastefulness. I don't need the dramatic pauses, I don't care to see the "OMG, I'm gone/safe?!" faces, and I heard the songs the first time around. I can either come here to find out who left on my own time, or you know, I can just see who's not there the next week.

It SHOULD be a shock, even after all this time, that our fellow countrymen prefer to gorge themselves on such trite, contrived shows. I know I am always shocked and dismayed when I see so few quality shows cracking the top 20.

Yes because EVERYONE must have the same taste in TV! And they have to be shows you like!

I faithfully watch AI performance shows, but I could care less about the results show (except for the actual results). I DVR it and watch the one-hour show in under 10 minutes. So, given my habits, I am not surprised it's lower rated than the performance shows.
