The Simpsons quick-moving intro shown in full

It's The Simpsons intro, in all it's panoramic glory. For years now fans of The Simpsons have broken the pause buttons on their DVD and, back in the olden days, VCR players in order to get a glimpse of the intro to that long-running program. Particularly the section between Marge and Maggie driving home from the supermarket, and Homer pulling into the garage, which seems to just whip by in a blur. We've been able to catch glimpses of what actions are taking place, but we never got the full panoramic picture.

Until now, that is. Thanks to an apparently anonymous source, this entire scene has been made into a panorama showing everything that goes on.

The scene begins with some familiar faces from Springfield Elementary (Millhouse, Nelson, Martin), then moves on to Patti and Selma sunbathing (Eww), Kent Brockman reporting on it all, and ends up with a pleasant picture of the Flanders family, including dearly departed wife Maude.

The images from the panorama seem to be from the earlier years of The Simpsons, which featured cruder animation then we are used to now. I doubt that it has changed at all since it began appearing in the opening credits. Therefore, this is what viewers are glimpsing today whenever the show decides to run the full intro sequence. While not the most earth-shattering find on the Internet, it is certainly something to take a look at while you have nothing else going on.
