Back in November we reported that a movie version of the award-winning HBO series The Sopranos would not be happening. The source of that information was none other than show creator David Chase. So, you would think that this information would be very reliable. Mmmm, perhaps not. For, you see, another rumor has popped up from a resource even more reliable than the man who actually created the program.
That resource is Nick D'Urso, owner of the New Jersey gentlemen's club Satin Dolls, which was the front for the show's Bada Bing Club. D'Urso has halted renovations to his club after receiving a tip that a Sopranos movie was indeed in the works and that Dolls would be needed once again. D'Urso did not name this tipster. Of course, HBO has denied this rumor by signifying that there is no film in the works.
Still, D'Urso will be holding off renovations to his fantastically wonderful Lodi, NJ club (Umm, not like I've been there or anything...at least not recently) until the end of the summer just in case the tip is actually true. If it does come true, he may need to replace the bronze stripper poles that he already auctioned off. Either way, here's a cross of the fingers for all of you Sopranos fans

All this *really* means is that his source read the rumours about the movie ages ago, didn't read HBO's response to the rumours, and has been running around ever since telling people a movie is in the works...
