Here are the weekly cable ratings, by number of viewers.
Yes, I did a double take too: is that really NCIS in the top 10 of the cable ratings? I'm used to seeing it in the top 20 every week in the network TV ratings (even though I don't know anyone who watches or even talks about it), but I was surprised to see the USA rerun at number 9 for the week. Project Runway makes an appearance this week, along with the usual suspects Spongebob, iCarly, wrestling, and election coverage.
1. Democratic Debate (MSNBC)
2. Debate Coverage/Analysis (MSNBC)
4. Monday Night RAW - 9pm (USA)
5. iCarly (Nickelodeon)
6. Project Runway (Bravo)
7. SpongeBob SquarePants (Nickelodeon)
8. SpongeBob SquarePants (Nickelodeon)
9. NCIS (USA)
10. iCarly (Nickelodeon)

Bob, may I suggest that you actually try "NCIS"? Still you aren't alone in seeing the name of the show in the ratings and not understanding what it's doing there (which of course is why I suggest that you try it). At least you didn't say - without seeing it - that it's a show "your grandmother watches" which is something I saw on one review site. (Actually I think TVSquad blogged about the show last year; too bad you didn't keep it up).

I actually never considered watching NCIS when it came out. I started watching it about a year and a half ago when I got my first HDTV and was gobbling up every show I could find in HD.
After watching several episodes I realized what a gem of a show this is. After seeing the credits I realized why it is such a good show - Donald P Bellisario.
