Last Wednesday the "Til Death Do You Part" disappeared from the title of the Big Brother 9 aired show. This week, it became obvious why -- the couples were broken up and it's all a singles game (as it should be) once again. Of course, the doubting kind of person I am, I wonder how much they thought out the titling for this season. It was first touted as "My Dirty Little Secret," then "soulmates," then "Til Death Do You Part." I find it amazing that they can just outright drop the title of the season, don't you? I can't help but wonder if they're just changing things as the season goes along. How are the hamsters doing now that they're playing for themselves? Read on past the jump for show spoilers and the latest house happenings!
As you can guess, the first couple to split apart was Matt and Natalie. Or, more accurately, Matt decided the bros would share a room and she had to leave his bed. She's not quite of the same mind and still has it for that boy bad. She told him she'll have his back and, to his credit, he told her he'd have hers -- she just wasn't welcome in his bed anymore. We know how good his word is in the house, though. Somehow Natalie convinced him to still share a bed. Maybe it's for the favors?
The surprising sort of split was James and Chelsia. Not long after the live show, they each doubted the loyalty of the other. Matt, Adam, and Ryan want James to join their Bro Boys alliance, but James is a bit of an outsider when it comes to the guys. Eventually James and Chelsia had a talk and said they'd still work together. They plan to still sleep together. Joshuah and Sharon will still be sleeping together, too.
Sheila went around complaining about Adam as much as she did when she was forced to be with him. Adam went around complaining about Sheila complaining about him. They sound like a bitter old married couple. Maybe they're truly soulmates. Sheila now has her own room -- the Boat Room.
Instead of a scene like last week with Allison going to bed instead of seeing the new Head of House room, all of the houseguests joined in on the festivities. Photos of Ryan's pit bull, family, and Jen fill the walls. He got lots of snacks, a whopping four-pack of beer, and a Bone Thugs CD. Sheila and Sharon fussed (not to him) that he didn't offer anyone any beer. Sheesh, it was a four-pack!
Speaking of Allison, the conversation turned to her a lot. Ryan has no hard feelings and knew that the original vote was solely due to Allison. The hamsters spent a good deal of time mocking her, laughing about how surprised she was, and the things she did which annoyed them. Only Sheila said she thought it was very sad how she left and how she wished she had dared to give her a sympathy vote. And then Sheila cried.
The houseguests now don't think anyone was in sequester and they're sure no one will be returning to the house. Heh. They'll find out soon enough, right?
The food competition was today. They didn't totally block it to the feeds, but we didn't get the whole thing. At one point Natalie spelled out "sushi" in a tub, then wrote it on a blackboard. The teams were Sheila, Chelsia, Sharon, and Josh against Matt, Natlaie, James, and Adam. The red team -- Sheila, Chelsia, Sharon, and Josh -- lost the comp and are on BB slop this week.
In house crumbs:
- The remote for the flat screen in the HOH is still broke or missing.
- Adam is still sticking his hand down his pants all of the time. If a guy did that while talking to me, I'd probably call the cops!
- Adam has decided he'll read the whole bible before he leaves the house.
- Sheila says she's on strike from doing the dishes. Each season someone declares a dishwashing strike.
- Most of the house think that James and Chelsia or Joshuah and Sharon will be on the block. But Ryan told Matt he's thinking of nominating Sharon and Sheila. Matt keeps pushing him to put up Joshuah.
- Ryan later told Chelsia she's going on the block as a pawn, but didn't tell her the other targeted nominee. She's very worried.
- Ryan promised Joshuah he won't backdoor him this week.
The nominations ceremony is going to be held a bit later tonight. To get that news to you as quickly as possible, I'll add in a little update line at the end of this report. So, please check back later for the nominees!
UPDATE: Nominations are in. Sharon and Chelsia are on the block.

Didn't Sharon & Jacob go directly to sequester? Wouldn't they then assume that everyone is going too? Not very good with the 1+1 this season, are they?

James is a bit of an outsider when it comes to the guys? Heh. I get your point but knowing what we know about James, thats just sounds funny to me.
Although I don't like Matt very much, I think he's way to cocky and certainly thinks he's smarter than everyone else, I do give him props for telling Natalie the truth. She's pesters him so much, that has to be annoying as hell. And I was sick to my stomach watching that weasel Boogie play Erica so badly during all-stars. Matt could easily have been playing Natalie good this season, and while he has taken some advantage of her, telling her he doesn't have romantic feelings for her in a straight-forward way was a manly thing to do.

i can't understand why Chelsia and Sharon. He should be taking out a strong player. maybe Matt, James or Josh. Even Nat is a strong player.
