Here are the weekly ratings, by number of viewers.
All of the usual suspects are here again this week: American Idol, Deal Or No Deal, Lost, and they're joined by Oprah's Big Give. It seems Oprah can do no wrong, and once she puts a TV show on the air we MUST WATCH IT (case in point: she also produced the number 9 show this week).
Interesting that both episodes of Back To You on FOX made the top 15 in the first week back after the strike, though coming on the same night as Idol can't hurt. Anyone know what Here Come The Newlyweds is? I distinctly remember typing that title in one of my "What's On Tonight" posts, but after that I forgot all about it.
1. American Idol - Tues (FOX)
2. American Idol - Weds (FOX)
3. American Idol - Thurs (FOX)
4. Oprah's Big Give (ABC)
6. Extreme Makeover (ABC)
7. Don't Forget The Lyrics (FOX)
8. Lost (ABC)
9. A Raisin in the Sun (ABC)
10. Survivor (CBS)
11. 60 Minutes (CBS)
12. Two and a Half Men (CBS)
13. Back To You - Tues (FOX)
14. Back To You - Weds (FOX)
15. Law and Order (NBC)
16. CSI (CBS)
17. NCIS (CBS)
18. Without A Trace (CBS)
19. Here Come The Newlyweds (ABC)
20. Price Is Right Million Dollar Spectacular (CBS)

I watch 3 out of 20. That may be an all time low.
I'm sad to see how badly Jericho and Terminator are doing.

Damn, society as a whole (or hole!) is just dumbing down by the second. They wanna sit there and watch people make fools of themselves and be voyeurs into mostly uninteresting people's lives.
With the exception of LOST the top 10 is nothing but crap. Pure, mindless crap for the mindless.

Wow... loads of crap.
Only 8 of the 19 shows are scripted, and then A Raisin in the Sun movie. I hated that play in high school, but that might have been the teachers fault and not the play, but I doubt it.

What?? Do people have nothing better to do than go to game shows and get paid for it, then when they fall or have an accident sue the company? If that's the case then society needs a blooming wake-up call. Unless of course you are seriously hurt which me highly doubts this paid audiece member was. Grow up

I don't watch anything in the top 20. In fact, I watch between three and five hour long programs a week, depending on the ever unusual series schedules, because the choices are so dismal (and we have about a million channels to choose from, too!).
But that's okay. The choices networks make simply give me more time to pursue other interests.
And if CBS cancels Jericho, they're off my list permanently. I had no problem avoiding their network after the abrupt (and ill-timed!!!) cancellation of Now and Again in 1999 or 2000, so I know it won't be a hardship for me to do this time. Only there won't be anything they can put on in the future that would entice me to watch their channel again!
Unfortunately they, in particular, seem to be in the habit of taking great programs-which are few and far between!-and placing them in time slots guaranteed to pull in low numbers.
Maybe we'll get lucky and some other network will pick Jericho up. I know it's happened in the past but...
I'm not going to hold my breath for that. Or for CBS start exhibiting a little good taste for quality programming.
