Quick answer: no.
Long answer: probably not.
It's always hard to make predictions when it comes to television. A show you think is going to bomb becomes a giant hit that produces several spinoffs (*cough* CSI *cough*). It's even harder with television news, since the landscape is changing so fast these days, with the web playing a bigger and bigger role. But that doesn't stop The Boston Herald from predicting that in five years, Fox and Friends anchor Alisyn Camerota will be asked to take over for Katie Couric on The CBS Evening News.
I'm not quite sure why they make this prediction, other than the fact that she's a woman, she's in news, and she kinda looks like Couric if you squint. It's interesting that they specifically predict that she'll take over for Couric on CBS and not Brian Williams at NBC or Charles Gibson over at ABC. They either think that Couric won't be there in five years or maybe that the only place that female anchors can go is CBS.

If people didn't want to watch Katie Couric from a real station than why would anyone want to watch this woman from a network that makes things up?

It just took until the second comment for the socialists to come out of the woodwork and make a Fox News comment. Beating a dead horse must be all the rage in the land where they believe cradle-to-grave-government-care. You know the place where all the denizens are so void of any ability for independent thought that they actually believe the government can do anything better than private industry. In other words, the idiocracy.
Hey Oreo, this quote's for you:

When--not if--Katie Couric is canned, CBS will replace her with a male anchor. The question is when will they do it and who will it be. My guess is that it will be Anderson Cooper and probably in 2009, after the elections.
