Just a few weeks ago, TV Squad reported that Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia acquired Emeril Lagasse's media properties. Now, the Bam-man will be starring in a new daily cooking show. Celebrity chef and restauranteur Emeril Lagasse will star in Emeril Green, a show that will be shot entirely at Whole Foods Market. The enterprise will be shot in front of a live audience, and will air on Planet Green, Discovery Communications' new 24/7 eco-lifestyle television network, PG launches in June 2008 with a bunch of new shows, including Emeril Green which will launch in July. With an emphasis on organic foods that are good for you -- and available in Whole Foods, natch -- Emeril Green will be very consumer-friendly. Entertaining and educational. "On Emeril Green, we'll unearth how easy and fun it is to cook with what's fresh, tasty and in-season and find smart ways to make each day a little greener for you and your family," says Emeril Lagasse. Karen Katz, who acted as executive producer on Emeril Live, will handled the reins for the chef on this new venture.
While this new show is on Planet Green, The Essence of Emeril, the series that the Food Network has been on broadcasting regularly since 1996, will continue airing on FN.

So It's Emeril Live being made into a Whole Food Market infomercial?
And I love in season food, the problem is I live in the north where in season food is in season for about 3 months.

So does that mean for his annual "Pork Fat Rules" show he'll use "free range" pork?

Those idiots at Food Network are going to rue the day they let Emeril go. I'm not a huge fan of Lagasse -- all that "Bam!" crap and the audience's stupid clapping every time he added a ton of garlic to a recipe got on my nerves! -- but they were fools to let him go instead of trying to find something new for the man who put them on the cable map. I guess he gets the last laugh since he just made a cool $45 millin in cash.

He got the money by selling his soul, and everything else to the devil herself.
And Food Network didn't let him go, he wanted more than they were willing to give, and he still has new episodes of his 30 minute show, which is a lot better than Emeril Live.

Although, I do shop, eat, cook & live organic, I wouldn't watch the whole foods/emeril infomercial as whole foods is nothing but a conglomerate/corporate type store more interested in hostile take-overs than quality of their own products. Some of the stuff they sell is not only higher priced than the smaller independent organic products store but some of their organic offerings are very questionable.
