Of course, I'm writing this live feeds report on the happenings in the Big Brother 9 house from my quiet peaceful non-camera-filled home. I know all about the "judge not lest ye be judged" bit. But there's a difference here, a big one. I would never choose to go into that house surrounded by strange (and I mean strange) people with cameras recording my my every move, and strangers reaming me on the internet. I'm smarter than that. However, they're there and they're fair game. They do something incredibly stupid and I'll call them out on it. I call 'em as I see 'em.
Read beyond the jump for show spoilers including the nominations, Power of Veto, and stupid hamster tricks.
Although you should have already read or go back to read my previous reports, here's the lowdown in 20 seconds:
- Nominations for eviction are Jen/Parker and Ryan/Allison.
- Everyone hates each other.
- Except for Adam and Sheila who have turned the page on their initial hate.
- Neil went home, Sharon returned to partner with Joshuah.
- Joshuah cried as he's bereft without Neil.
- Jen and Ryan had sex in the bathroom stall.
- Natalie performed a Monica on Matt under the covers.
The really big news from Friday was the Power of Veto competition. Joshuah hosted it and Matt/Natalie were picked out of the hat to compete with the Head of House couple (Alex/Amanda) and the two nominated couples. They always block the feeds so we don't see the actual comp, but we always find out who won shortly after they return. Either someone will be wearing the PoV necklace or it will be hanging on their picture on the Memory Wall. The winners were (drum roll, please) ... Matt and Natalie.
Matt's close to Parker, claims he's the only one he can trust. If he were to remove Jen and Parker from the block, it's likely Adam and Sheila would go up for eviction. Will that happen? The glitch in that plan is that if Adam and Sheila go on the block, they'd get evicted as neither is in with the two in crowds. Plus, people on all sides know that Jen and Ryan need to be split. One or the other has to go as together they're the strongest alliance in the house (even though they throw each other under the bus and bicker). The only way that would happen with more expendable victims in the house is for both Jen and Ryan to be on the block.
Right now things are flopping around a bit on the vote. Each couple has to agree on their vote and getting a meeting of the mind(less) is a bit difficult in this house of hamsters.
Now, I'm not going to go into detail about every breath they've taken, but I'll let you some of my observations and the various happenings which piqued my interest for one reason or another:
- Parker is still very confrontational. He likes to push buttons, gets in thorny snits, and likes to try to intimidate others.
- Adam wants to vote out Ryan, but he isn't so sure what Sheila wants.
- Meanwhile, Sheila is conspiring with Joshuah who thinks it's a "done deal" that Jen and Parker will be voted out 3-1.
- Joshuah doesn't want Ryan to know of the plan and wants him to think he's going home so he doesn't somehow tip off Jen.
- Allison is looking forward to the day that they break down to individual players. They don't know when that will happen, but they won't be voting and acting as couples all season.
- Matt told Allison that she doesn't have his vote. But she knew that.
- The PoV comp had to do with stamina, yet there were buttons.
- Amanda is still all over Parker. No wonder Alex thinks they have a prior relationship. I don't think they do, but she's all over him all the time anyway.
- Natalie told a group at the hot tub that she isn't a slut, she'll "do oral or whatever" but won't have sex with just anyone. Um. Well. If it walks like a duck ...
- Natalie has a crush on Matt. It's basically unrequited, but he doesn't seem to mind her under the covers moves.
- Sheila told them about how she dated Scott Baio. Natalie got all excited about that news.
- Matt wants to try to get Natalie to use the veto to save Jen and Parker.
And, there ya go. I'm still not picking out any favorites to cheer on this season. I don't think I like anyone very much.Oh, I'll continue to watch them, yes. But that doesn't mean I have to like any of them.

The comment about Natalie when she said she she'll "do oral or whatever, but won't have sex with just anyone" reminds me of that scene in Clerks.

such a fine line between what some people think of as "sex" I guess. Maybe I am too old, but physical contact is sex to me.
Jackie you are so right...no one makes me want to root for them.....well maybe I'll vote for Neil..to be ok and come back.
wish there was some likeable people in this house! WHERE DO THEY GET THESE PEOPLE???

I actually "like" James -- he's actually the opposite of the "crazy" way he comes off in the promotional clips and his pictures. He seems to have a brain in his head and is actually pretty level considering this house of nuts. I also like Joshua enough so far, once he stopped crying over Neil.
I don't see the Amanda all over Parker part -- I see Sharon all over him -- verbally at least, which also requires she's around him a lot (SHUT UP Sharon). But all I have is the show and Sho2.
Last night on SHo2 I watched very uncomfortably as Amanda and whatever guys she's partnered with did all that college-like wince-able back and forth under the sheets. She goes to bed in the equivalent of a bikini (then turned it off and deleted it), the pants of which she still tried to fold down in the back and then she throws her legs across his legs and asks why he likes her, tee hee, then they flip, then he tries to kiss her ear then she says STOP, it tickles, etc... then her legs are out of the sheets and we watch her crotch with night vision... it almost makes you wish to see Eric and Jessica again.
I think seeing Natalie and Matt doing anything will be able as appealing as seeing Mike Boogie and Erica. Beyond barfsville. Nice word... guess I'm regressing from watching .

I think CBS made a big mistake with the cast of BB9. They are immature, silly, obnoxious and plain annoying. There are no mature, cerebral people on this show. It is liike watching your children agruing with each other. Being opposite American Idol could be a deal killer for this show especially as it heads into its normal summer slot

i couldn't agree more. the only people who connected were neil and joshuaa. i even have the feed on my verizon phone and (when the video and audio don't drop off) i find myself bored. i HOPE that cbs keeps the pairs together and thus, keeps it a short season.
the only one i have any feelings about is parker. the fact that he's a papparazzi says everything.
i look forward to the regular summer season. it's time to bring back what didn't work in season 1 but, worked everywhere else in the world....giving us, the audience at least some chances to have the eviction vote.

after last nite's soft core porn on BBAD, I think I will just wait for the summer edition with the 'normal' people. If I wanted to watch shit like this, I would get Cinemax.

Why is there only one african-american inside the whole entire big brother house and the rest is mostly white and a few Italian or Latin americans? Julie and Les Moonves should rename the show "Out of Africa" because that movie was basically white but was filmed in Africa and won 7 academy awards. And the worst thing about that point is? Stephen King "The Color of Purple" was made the same year and was basically an african-american movie but was cheated in the same academy awards show that year. Now you people WHITE,Blacks, and other race people can vote for Barack Obama as our first african-american president for 2009, why can't you see this show being prejudice toward more black people on it? The television show Survivor have more than one black person on it. Why not Big Brother?

but you should not blame every white person for racism we did not make the show, theres always unfair or injust things, and obama is a great man, reguardless of black or white, so its not every white persons fault that this is this way sorry

I am not calling everybody prejudice, I just do not like the way that show is run. Take a look a the Dr. Phil show in the morning. His show is produce by Oprah Winfield but his audience is basically white american women. (Where in the hell is the white men or black)? And look at Ms. Winfield show, basically white females. So quit trying to protect Julie fake-ass Chen and the big brother house because her and that show and plus the cbs early show are losing a whole lotta rating points (especially in the african-american communities). But Mrs. or Ms. Susan I like your style and your honest way that you answered my question. You are top ten in mine book.
