At the age of 40, it looks like Gary Coleman finally tied the knot. The 4-foot-8 actor married 5-foot-7, 22-year-old Shannon Price on a Nevada mountaintop in a private ceremony. The couple met on the set of the movie "Church Ball".Strangely enough, the couple got married all the way back in August. Price told Inside Edition that the reason for their secrecy was because "I just want my own identity as well because I don't want to be known as Gary Coleman's wife."
Of course, Coleman is best known for his role of Arnold Jackson in the 1980's series Diff'rent Strokes. It's nice to hear that he's having some good fortune since the actors playing the kids on that show have had notably bad fortune since it ended.
Perhaps it's the cynic in me, but somehow this strikes me as the beginning of one of those short-lived Hollywood marriages. Price wasn't even born when Diff'rent Strokes was a phenomenon. However, true love knows no boundaries and I sincerely hope my theory is proven wrong.
The imagination runs wild at the thought of any marital spats they may have. I envision Coleman saying "What choo talkin' 'bout, Shannon?"

She married him for his money. lol
But really, good for him. I do agree with what he says about age, it doesn't matter, it's only a mind set.

I heard he was pretty much bankrupt. That's what he said on Stern a few years back.

What money? Last I heard he was working part time as a security guard. Of course that was before he ran for Governor of California.

I'm pretty sure Oreo was joking. In fact, I'm certain of it.

THANK YOU LENNY!
I'm glad to see we have one person here who can see I was joking! But I should ask, what gave it away? The fact he hasn't had a real job in over 20 years or the "lol" I put at the end of it?

Yes to both the "no real job" and the "lol" (which I know is a tough one to catch, but I'm very astute at reading LOL!)
Toss those in with the fact that GC has no money, yet money would be about the only reason a sane person might ever consider marrying the Tiny Temper Tantrum and you have...drumroll please...JOKE!

More power to him. Mr. Coleman seems to have lived a rather troubled life that was not all of his own doing. From financial problems caused by his own parents, the health issues, and a career and social life that peaked in his teen years, it couldn't have been easy.

If true, this "short-lived Hollywood marriage" has already lasted longer than most Hollywood marriages.

After peaking at the Inside Edition article, I see reason for you to believe it could be a "short-lived Hollywood marriage." Some of those things don't sound so healthy. I wouldn't call it a Hollywood thing though. Next time, I recommend including the not talking to each other, locking themselves in rooms, throwing printers, and police calls when saying it might not last.

Given that it sounds like Gary's a wee bit abusive (throwing stuff at her?!), yeah, "short-lived" sounds accurate. That shit ain't cool.
