Project Runway: Raw Talent

WWE Diva(S04E10) In one of the classiest moves in Project Runway history, the designers faced the challenge of creating outfits for the WWE Raw Divas to wear in the ring. When I heard the angry grunts and sounds of lady-violence behind the door, I thought they were going to face roller derby girls or something. The Divas were cool anyway, offering the designers a chance to get really crazy and maybe a little sleazy.

The designers seemed rather horrified when they saw their new clients, which was quite amusing, but not as amusing as the reactions (or lack thereof, save for Tim Gunn's polite chuckle) to the sex kitten ripping open her robe. I couldn't stop myself from mumbling, "Your goods have no power here, sweetheart."

By the way, the Blockbuster Total Access placement was real subtle, Bravo. Maybe next time they should have Tim pop in to share an exclusive coupon code.

The guest judges were the fellows of Heatherette. I never would have thought to pick them to participate in this challenge, but now I can't imagine a better choice. I definitely need Richie Rich's vest in my wardrobe, by the way.

Christian: I'm starting to wonder if Christian and I were seeing the same outfit this week. He kept saying how much he loved it and that it was his favorite creation yet, but I still can't understand why. It looked more like an 80s streetwalker outfit than something for a babe of action. I'm no WWE expert, but I can't imagine that outfit in the ring.

Jillian: I totally surprised myself when I realized I loved this outfit. It was sassy and embodied the Diva's style very well. It was also extremely flattering on the model.

Ricky: [AUF'D] Ricky must be some strategic mastermind, because it baffles me that he managed to slip through the cracks for so long. I'm quite glad he's finally gone because the world now makes a little more sense. Well, in all honesty, his creation this week was probably one of his more well-made pieces of the season. Unfortunately for him, it was not appropriate for the challenge, nor was it particularly original. I think if he had toyed around with the Jillian-esque boy shorts idea, the judges wouldn't have attacked him so badly.

Chris: [WINNER] I still think that Jillian should have won, but Chris' creation was also excellent. The shorts were adorable, the hoodie was spectacular, the fingerless glove things were wicked. I just remembered that Chris was eliminated very early in the season and was brought back only because of unfortunate circumstances. The thing is, I can totally imagine Chris being one of the final three. If he actually gets to Bryant Park or -- dare I say it -- wins, he'll be the luckiest man in all of Runway-dom.

Sweet P: [ALMOST AUF'D] If WWE Raw was a low-budget lingerie show set on ice, Sweet P totally would have won. However, that was not the case, and Sweet P's creation sent her onto the runway as one of the bottom two. In terms of execution, I think Ricky's outfit was better than this one. Maybe everyone finally got tired of Ricky's waterworks and just Auf'd him anyway.

Rami: How did this one not end up at the bottom two? The execution was terrible, the color was horrid, and the proportions were wonky. A woman so, uhh, well-endowed up top shouldn't have a skirt like that. If anything, the mini-skirt should have been much more mini, just to fix the proportions. You lucked out, Rami! Be thankful that you're not quite as annoying as Sweet P or Ricky.

Who should have been Auf'd?
