"Indecision 2008": Did you know Super Tuesday was on Tuesday? The media did a poor job of making us think that the five to six hours leading up the results were "fascinating". They didn't help their point by hurling numbers every which way. As if to add to the confusion, the news teams goofed around with unnecessary flashy graphics, like that "statistical lazy susan", and FOX News' newest player, Karl Rove. Yes, Rove has joined FOX News. Don't think about it too much or your heart will seize up.

Several channels even bragged that they were the top dogs in the coverage game. CNN claimed they're the "greatest in television" and then FOX News attempted to trump that with "best political team ever". The Daily Show team begged to differ and decided to show those polling bastards what for. John Oliver, who somehow turned into the leader of all correspondents, grabbed a van and headed to the streets. He, Samantha Bee, Jason Jones, Aasif Mandvi, and Rob Riggle scared the living daylights out of some pedestrians while gathering polling data. The whole segment looked like a lot of fun, mainly because I like to imagine all the correspondents hang out in scary-looking vans in their free time anyway. Where has Dan Bakkedahl been, by the way? I was expecting to see him somewhere in the mix, but instead it was Mandvi, who isn't even full-time enough to be included in the promotional pictures. Have the promotional pictures lied to me? I don't know what to believe anymore.

The night's guest was Daily Show buddy Tom Brokaw, promoting his newest book, Boom!: Voices of the Sixties Personal Reflections on the '60s and Today. Mr. Brokaw was looking super dapper that evening, which must have pleased those weird fanboys in the studio audience. It was also his birthday, his 68th, if you can believe it. The interview was pretty good, covering Brokaw's book and fed-up Republicans and secret monster Kennedys ("I, er, like gay people!")
