Sometimes I think celebrities should just keep some comments to themselves when they leave a TV show.
Thomas Dekker, who played Zach during the first season of Heroes and now plays John Connor on The Sarah Connor Chronicles, tells Life & Style that he thinks the relationship between 30 year-old Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia and 18 year-old Hayden Panettiere is "creepy." He says that the two dating would be like him dating a 12 year-old.
Well, first of all, someone should explain state and federal laws to Dekker. Sure, there's a big age gap between Ventimiglia and Panettiere, but as someone says in the link above, they're still legal adults. The reason why Dekker can't date a 12-year old is because he's 20 and that would be, you know, against the law. If he's going to be the future savior of the human race, he should know stuff like that.
(By the way, I'd like to apologize for the headline. It sounds very, very high school.)

Actually he should go to school and work on his Math skills. If you go by the actual statement then wouldn't it be like him dating an 8 year old,As there is a 12 year difference between Milo and Hayden. As far as that goes i agree that it is creepy simply due to the fact that they have likely been sneaking for quite a few months now. With his rise in popularity from the show and Rocky Balboa i would think Milo would be sucking in the starlets and adoration that comes with a hit. Not bleeping where he eats.

i think the issue is not legality or that age doesnt matter whne it comes to love. i think the issue is the fact that milo is an adult anyway u lookat it. hayden is 18. she is a child. thats why its creepy. it doesnt really matter that shes of legal age. shes still a child.

I actually think its sort of creepy myself. 18 is young, but its not even really that, its the fact that they new each other well before hand, probably when she was 16. That whole idea of Milo being "its illegal, its illegal, its illegal, its legal yay lets hook up!" is sort of creepy to me.

Sounds to me like 1) someone asked out Hayden last year and got rejected and 2) someone is still mad they wanted him to play a gay character on the show and is lashing out.
Let's see, his costar on the show he is on now is 34 so I guess that means if she showed any interest in him romantically he would think she is gross? WTF ever.

Her uncle on TV, not real life though. If it was real life THAT would be CREEPY. But since they aren't thats not the real creep factor. The creep factor is they were rumored to be dating BEFORE she was legal and went public 6 minutes after she was legal.

Unfortunately, he's right--it's creepy. I say "unfortunately" because this is an actor with horrible judgement--just remember how quickly he and his management made them rewrite his "Zach" character straight instead of gay, just in case it poisoned the odds of his landing the "Terminator" role.

Actually...i don't think it's creepy at all, my last boyfriend was 32 when i was 19....we had plenty in common...and he turned out to be the love of my life until he passed away a couple of years ago. So don't knock it until you try it. You can't help who you fall in love with. Age is just a number. Unless it's illegal...why does it matter!!??

Let me get this straight...it's okay for a 30-yr. old guy to have OCCASIONAL SEX with an 18-yr. old girl, but it's not okay for him to date her? To me, the sex idea is more twisted and sick.
I don't see what the big deal is with the dating issue. Other actresses have been known to date older men before (Scarlett Johansson, Mena Suvari, etc.) and no one's ever made a big deal about them doing so. And look at that whole Ashton/Demi thing. I used to think that was really weird, but hey - they seem to be making it work, so whatever.
In the end, it really comes down to this: If two people are of age and have enough common interests, why shouldn't they date? The cliche is true: Age is just a number.

Hayden gets to play little miss grown up because she's got an older boyfriend, and captain stroke face gets to pretend that love triumphs in their may december romance, while secretly in his heart of hearts he's high-fiving the baby jesus for sending him some hot and steamy barely legal lovin.
