So, we've got this promotional thing going on with this new zero calorie sparkling drink from Pepsi called Tava. Haven't heard of it yet? Well, from what I can tell, you certainly will. What did they give us to give away? How does this sound:- Two (2) 80GB iPod Classics.
- Five (5) swag bags containing TAVA Canvas tote bag, TAVA t-shirt and TAVA pen.
- Seven (7) sample packs of TAVA.
Pawtucket Patriot Ale (Family Guy)
What's in it: Beah.
This beer is a clear spoof of a brewery near and dear to my heart, the Boston Beer Company. This drink is basically the Duff Beer of Family Guy. Or maybe it's the Slurm of Family Guy, since the there was even an episode centered around the brewery that also looked an awful lot like Willy Wonka's place. (As an honorable mention to this one I'll add Sam Adams' Head Boston Lager)
Buzz Beer (The Drew Carey Show)
What's in it: Beer and coffee.
This beer was featured in a lot of episodes of the show, maybe nearly every one of them. There's a good reason for that -- Drew, Kate, Oswald, and Lewis brewed it in Drew's garage. A mixture of beer and coffee that were put together and meant to keep you awake so you can keep getting drunk. Damn, if that really worked we'd all be, like, dead.
Flaming Moe/Flaming Homer (The Simpsons)
What's in it: Nasty lasties of every near-empty bottle of booze in a bar, cough syrup and fire (optionally from a hot cigarette ash).
It's hard to tell what exactly went into this concoction. Out of the multitude of episodes of The Simpsons, you can mention a Flaming Moe to just about anyone who watches the show and they'd instantly remember it. I can't begin to imagine how many people have tried to pull off their own version of this and have it pass as drinkable.
Shotz Beer (Laverne & Shirley)
What's in it: Likely, beer flavored water.
This one's included merely because it was seen at the start of every episode. From the name alone you can tell this beer's quality is right up there with the likes of Schlitz and Old Milwaukee.
Slurm (Futurama)
What's in it: Worm crap.
Its slogan, along with just about any drink in the Futurama universe, tells no lies about what you get when you put this down your gullet: "It's addictive!" What's not to love about that? Oh, how about that it's made from a giant alien worm's ass in some sort of Willy Wonka-like drink factory? Ah screw it, give me a swig.
Duff Beer (The Simpsons)
What's in it: Beer. Mmmmm.
I'm sure when you saw the title of this list, Duff Beer was one of the first to come to mind. This stuff is like fuel to The Simpsons world, in particular Homer. And Barney. And ... wow, it's everywhere! Heck even the video game's got references to Duff Beer. Way to get 'em while they're young! Let's not forget all the different permutations of this beer: Duff Dry, Duff Dark... Man those sound eerily familiar.
Romulan Ale (Star Trek)
What's in it: Romulans would tell you, but then they'd murder you (or, 1.5oz white rum, 1oz Blue Curacao liqueur, Sprite®, 6 drops Tabasco® sauce)
Probably the most potent drink on this list. This mythical (to some people) cocktail is so strong that it can even take down the stoutest of Klingons. From the Memory Alpha wiki, I'm reminded of an episode of TNG where they attempted to replicate this blue potion on the Enterprise-D, and it couldn't! Yes yes, I know there's Bloodwine and Synthale and others, so don't jump down my throat.
Schmitts Gay Beer (Saturday Night Live)
What's in it: Gay beer.
I'm posting this because it's from one of the funniest fake commercials of all time from SNL. The clip starts off looking like a typical beer commercial. A magical pool fills from a rusty faucet. Someone emerges from the water and ... hilarity ensues.
Olde Fortran Malt Liquor (Futurama)What's in it: 100 FORMAT (' Malt liquor ' /)
I could have picked one of over a dozen other fictional drinks from Futurama, but for some reason this one comes to mind for me, right behind Slurm. From my geeky code above, you can probably guess why. It's one of the best forms of fuel for Bender. Must be all of that oak barrel aged and fermented lines of code.
Master Shake (Aqua Teen Hunger Force)What's in it/him: Green milkshake (presumably pistachio-flavored).
Master Shake... where to begin? The only "living" beverage on this list, Shake is the quintessential bum. He's lazy beyond belief, cocky, and perpetually horny. So what makes him so great? He's hilarious! If there's one reason to watch ATHF, Shake is it. Just don't hand him anything valuable. Everything he drops seems to explode...

I surely have to go with S'more Schnapps from South Park. They were the sponser of a Civil War reenactment in town and got all of the alcohol-crazed citizens of South Park really drunk. Inspired by their victory in the reenactment, the intoxicated South tried to actually fight the Northern United States. Great episode.

This would have to be "the recipe" from the Waltons. Here is a family show with religious themes and quiet country ways and in the middle of almost every episode was the Baldwin Sisters "The Recipe", which Grampa Walton loved. Moonshine with class.

I like Scotty's unidentifiable green liquor, from both TOS and TNG. "It is...It is...*sniff*...It is...green!"
