Occasionally, I will watch a particularly crazy episode of The Daily Show or The Colbert Report and sit through the credits feeling very angry with myself. "I had nothing to do today," I often think. "I could have jumped onto a bus and gone to a taping to get a piece of that awesomeness." Well, I am sad to report that this happened again, but this time in the most extreme way possible. I'm itching to talk about it and let my fangirly nerves express themselves, but I need to go through this chronologically or my brain will explode.Of course, Jon Stewart started off by talking about the weekend's biggest event, the Super Bowl (two words, folks). As a Giants fan, Jon was overjoyed and spent a good amount of time making fun of Boston ("You got your Strangler...your...Massacre"). The writers' strike has a possible end in sight as well, which added to Jon's glee. It is only with extreme glee that one can come up with something as scary as a "Buttery Reacharound," which is some sort of hope and joy cocktail, evidently.
Super Tuesday is coming up on, well, Tuesday, and the studio audience seemed unusually happy about it. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton had a chat in the Kodak Theatre, home of the Oscars, facing a crowd of somber celebs like Jason Alexander and Pierce Brosnan. There is no need to ask your Jewish friend about Jon's "Shiksa"/"Shvartser" joke, because I've got you covered. Thanks, Google. When Jon started cabbage-patching for the primaries, it was really nice. With all the doom and gloom caused by the strike's black cloud, seeing Jon in such a genuinely giddy mood felt incredibly refreshing. I thought he was just super excited about the Giants and the strike negotiations, but, in hindsight, he was probably also super pumped for the special guest(s).
That's right, just as Jon launched into a segment about Super Bowl ads, the audience started going insane. Stephen Colbert appeared at the desk, looking super fly. Mind you, I do not use "super fly" loosely. Anyway, the two of them complained about their ongoing feud with Conan O'Brien, which has been covered on all three of the shows (TDS, TCR, and Late Night) quite a few times. Conan had "threatened" to come on either TDS or TCR if there was any mention of the feud again, so, lo and behold, the audience started going crazy again and Conan appeared behind Jon and Stephen. It was truly a beautiful sight and, honestly, I think I spent a good five minutes shouting a solid stream of obscenities, purely out of fangirly joy. The three guys started shouting at each other, Jon and Stephen challenging Conan to some real fisticuffs. Conan accepted and he and Stephen went outside to wait for Jon to wrap up the show. While waiting by the studio door, the guys worked on their spectacularly terrible harmony.
The night's guest was Project Runway's Tim Gunn. Jon, Stephen, Conan and fashion god Tim "Make It Work" Gunn all in the same episode? I was consumed with envy, thinking of all the people in that studio audience. No person should be allowed to bask in so much celebrity glory. It's bad for the skin. As always, Tim Gunn was charming and funny. Once again, he felt the need to say that this season's designers are the best yet, a comment with which I adamantly disagree. Just taking a peek through my Project Runway recaps should show you why.
Moment of Zen: Stephen had to go film his show, so Jon and Conan mad their way to the Colbert Report studio to prepare for a full-on throw-down. Sweet Lord, I hadn't been that ecstatic to see the Report for a long time. Epic, man. Epic.
EDIT: Folks, I'm working on a big post, complete with videos, for those who missed anything. I just have to wait for Comedy Central to get their business together. Just know that it's coming, because I love you.
EDIT AGAIN: Here's the video post. See, I really do love you.

First, I think she's very beautiful and would love to see her on the show.
Second, as a hard of hearing person, I've always respected and admire her for breaking the public's perception of no only deaf people but people of any disabilities. I';m confidant she'll do it again with DWTS.

HAHAHAHAHAAAA!!! Oh gee do out of context things make me crack up. I can say honestly that this is the first time I've ever been able to use the letters ROTFL literally. I just... I just wasn't expecting that.
(And Humour is a result of your brain correcting for error according to evolutionary biologists, so that's why I found it really funny. Don't judge me guys.)
Will it be on Youtube? Likely not. Especially since you have to catch their appearances on the Colbert Report and Conan as well.

NBC.com has the Conan/Colbert/Stewart Brawl, Comedy Central should have their clips I would assume in the morning. Certainly the highlight of this writer's strike. It should've been a 30 minute fight.

This was better than sliced bread, following the feud on all shows was a joy, with the recaps between. Knowing where and who it started with and then the ending on Late Night was just awesome, I rarely stay up to see Conan but what Joy. I knew they had time to kill because of the strike but this pure bliss.
My hats of to those guys and to Mike Huckabee for his little cameo.

What is wrong with you people? Last night was terrible. Please please please let the writers' strike end this week.
Jon filled a few minutes talking about how New York is better than Boston. Funny if you live in those cities, but why should the rest of America care?
And the feud with Conan was incredibly clumsy. Lots of shouting over each others' lines and strange posing. Stephen is clearly the only one of the 3 who can act.
They need the writers back so they can each perform the show they are best at.
