About two months ago, we learned that Donny and Marie Osmond were being considered for their own daytime talk show. One of the Osmonds will indeed host a talk show in the somewhat near future. Earlier this week, Marie, who recently appeared on Dancing with the Stars, announced that she will host her very own syndicated daytime talk show set to premiere in the fall of 2009.This will not be Marie's first time as a host. If you recall, from 1998 to 2000, she co-hosted Donny & Marie with her brother, Donny Osmond.
In her statement, Marie claims that she has been through a lot in her life so far and that she is "about the most authentic person you can be" considering that she takes care of her eight kids. There are no details at this time as to the format of her new talk show, but it wouldn't be surprising if it has a little bit of everything (life heartaches, cooking, raising kids, dancing with stars, etc.).
There are still talks of the Osmonds doing TV together in the future but it will more than likely take the form of a primetime special.

I knew this dreadful moment was coming. She was getting WAY too much press and attention from that stupid Dancing show to walk out of this without her own gig. This was woefully predictable.

I was a producer on her short lived radio show in 2004. We were on the air from Feb - Dec. that year, but the whole thing got old after only 2 months. If she wants this show to last, she needs more than star power. The reason the radio show flopped is because she had nothing to offer potential fans, only the women who worship her (which is fewer than initially imagined).
After the DWTS stint, she's probably made a few more fans, but I think she's using the drama in her life to try to relaunch her career. I guess there's nothing wrong with that, but I don't think it's enough to be successful.
Good luck, I guess. Just hope she gives a little more credit to the people who work at the show. She really knows how to make folks who work hard to put her shows together seem inferior to her gigantic ego.

I gotta agree. I don't believe Marie should do another talk show. I predict it will go down the tubes after 2 months. People are just sick of hearing about her problems. Believe me, I know, I was a fan up until recently. She lost my interest when she did that Doll Dance and was stupid enough to think it was good. Alot of Fans walked away from her on that one. And she's gotten this HIGH & MIGHTY Attitude about her ever since she left her 2nd Husband(Hey Marie, what happened to the Mormon church's rule about if you have a 2nd divorce, you're excommunicated from the church?, I guess they can't afford to let go of some people who are putting all that money into the church) She acts like nothing can touch her. She keeps telling people about her personal tradgedies, I'd like to tell her about personal tradgedy when I get to talk to her. When she hears about real tradgedy, she'll piss her pants and go comotose. She sure isn't the person I grew up with, nothing seems to matter to her but making money on those damn dolls of hers. She also judges her fans by how many dolls they buy. And she's got very select people she hangs out with (Particularly Mormons). She does not have anyone that is not a Mormon in her circle of friends. Boy Marie, You sure got pathetic as you got older. I don't know what changed you girl, but it sure turned you into a B----. Please, whatever you do, come back down to earth.!

Not that I'd EVER watch this but one question I have from the story: why the fall of '09? They need a year and a half to prepare a fluff-filled (I'm betting) talk show? That really puzzels me.

As Marie puts it, they have to get Syndicators to support the idea of the show. And they say that it is always good to put a new show on in September. I don't believe that she'll get the support she needs, people got sick of her on Dancing With the Stars and that was only 2 months. She really ought to try something like serious Drama acting, she's soooo good at it.

At least The Osmond Family is "REAL" and "HUMAN" Like the rest of us.. They go through the same trials and tribulations ...
