According to TMZ, the game show Moment of Truth sent a letter to Roger Clemens' manager asking him to appear as a contestant on the show. For those unaware, the former Yankees pitcher was mentioned in a document called the Mitchell Report which accused multiple baseball players of taking steroids and caused a big stir in the sport. While as a viewer, I would find this entertaining (Clemens has not been proven to have taken steroids). That still doesn't stop me from thinking it's a bad idea for Clemens to do so. There is no advantage for him to it. The cynics of America will think either he takes steroids or the game is rigged (such as when it was revealed that one of the contestants was an actor). If they want Clemens on a reality show, I think he would do better on Dancing with the Stars.
But I think having celebrities on The Moment of Truth isn't a bad idea. Other celebrities I would like to see on Moment of Truth: O.J. Simpson, Dick Cheney, Mary Kate Olsen and Doctor Phil. Who would you like to see on the show?

and of course clemens would never do it... why would any public figure ever even awkonwledge such a stupid ploy at free advertising?
Next time why dont you guys just give moment of truth a free banner ad across the top of the website. Than you can have a writer do up a review of breaking bad in the time he did this.
Moment of Truth gets free advertising, everyone else gets some info on some actual non-garbage tv. Its a win/win

we all do find it very odd that you felt the need to jump in and defend him like that though

Unknown actors are staples of the Game Show world. Perhaps the new round of Prime Time game shows have done a better job at screening them out, but I'm surprised this guy is the first one to be "caught." Actors often don't have regular day jobs so that they can go on auditions. This same freedom allows them to appear on game shows - which gets them some screen time and a little pocket money.
I have no problem with an actor being on this particular show. Just because actors are able to portray certain emotions, doesn't mean that they can control their internal reactions. The "lie detector" measures physiological changes inside a person.
Perhaps this is an urban myth, but I think there are some government jobs that are specifically trained to "beat" a lie detector. I would have a problem with one of those people going on the show. Thankfully, I don't think any of them would bother with this show.
