Hey, Brigitte here with TV Squad Daily. I'll be covering the TV stories I find interesting each day, Monday through Friday, in this video blog.
Today, on TV Squad Daily:
Jay Leno and Jimmy Kimmel will guest on each other's shows this week, and the WGA is threatening disciplinary action against Leno for writing his own jokes and performing a monologue.
You did the Dr. Phil shamelessly getting publicity off of Brit's "bad year" very tastefully. He is becoming part of the problem. And, now his reps are confirming he's board certified and how he "won't release any details" etc. They are doing major damage control. Him popping in to see brit wasn't the best career move. ahhh DUHHHHH
I say "right on" regarding Brigitte's take on Dr. Phil. He's like a psychologist cum paparrazo - a "psychorrazo." Chasing the Britney ambulance - for shame!
"Cupcakes of the World" calendar, eh? Never thought of cupcakes as being so … globetrotting.
Dr. Phil only visited at the express request of the Spears family. Apparently, Britney's mother and Dr. Phil's wife are close friends. He had not initiated, and continues to not initiate, any contact with Britney unless it's in response.
They only show the yule log on one channel here and it's only for a few hours Christmas morning. Being a lazy person who never wakes up before noon on a day off, I never get to see it. So I'm all for the prime time yule log. How do we make this happen.
I think Jay Leno's metaphorical spanking should be a visit from Dr. Phil. If that doesn't keep him from writing, I don't know what will.
I didn't understand what NBC was saying until Brigitte explained it. Thanks Brigitte for the explanation, but their confusing statement does make me wonder. Who is writing NBC press releases if they don't have any writers?
With all the drama writers on strike, who is making up what passes for news on Fox?
I'm not kidding, if the WGA is suing Leno, they should also sue Bill O'really, Glenn Beck and the stunning (as in meat-packing plant) Nancy Grace for some of the nasty fiction they spit out daily.
"Dr. Phil" is a charlatan, ready to profit from the real pain of a badly mixed-up kid? Gee, who would have guessed that? No wonder Whoopy Goldfarb dumped him! Or was it Opra Windfrey? I forget. WE
Just a couple of observations. First, what happened to the NEW winter coat? The one you have on is nice but I thought you really loved your new winter coat.
And second. For someone that was excited about going outside you didn’t make it very far. Just outside the door, in the corner, protected by the wind, sun and all other outside elements. But hey who am I to judge it was sunny and 80 here today.
Now I really don’t want to comment on the Dr. guy, because he is just another one of those Hollywood a**ho&*s. I mean come on the guy is a total nut job. He makes the statement that “she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention”. And just how long did it take for this Einstein to figure this one out. I'm no Einstein and I figured that out long before she shaved her head. So if I knew it that long ago then I would assume that everyone did also. Well enough on that as I said I really didn’t even want to comment on it but I guess I felt I had to get my two cents in.
And my last thought. Hey, another get episode, good job Brigitte you just keep making us all very happy, thanks.
Hello Brigitte, This is my first ever comment on any of your TVsquad daily shows. I just happened upon you while browsing through some of the interesting, funny, and not-so-interesting-and-funny stuff on youtube.
I must say that I like love you now....you're so cute and witty....ahhhhhh *dreamy-eyed smile*
Err...sorry...anywho back to the video....
I can't help but say it....Dr. Phil is one of the biggest quacks ever. I cannot understand why everyone likes him so much. Like Bud said earlier, he just kinda states the obvious then people marvel at how "wise" he is. Ugh...
Ok, that's it....Brigitte love the show...you rock....Have A Nice Day. :)
hi all, i just wanted to say that i really like the sounb of your voice Brigitte! i dont know what it is, maybe its because i dont hear many american people speaking or what. keep up the good work!
Jim Murphy, you obviously don't live where the temperature frequents the single digits. I live in Wisconsin, so Brigitte gets my weather 12 to 24 hours before I do, and we have had some cold weather this year. Forty degrees may very well be thirty five or forty degrees than it was just a day or two before. The high for the Packer game in Green Bay on sunday is 8 degrees, which will be closer to 0-4 by game time, then add a 20mph wind and it will feel waaaaaay below zero. Where ever you live,,,, enjoy the heat, and when you feel a little chill, or reach for a jacket, just think of poor Brigitte sipping her hot coffee to keep warm.
I don't know why, but today (Tuesday 08 January, or Day 65 of the Writers's Strike if you're using the Burbank-Pumpkin Calendar) the episode is to be found at BD's personal blog site: http://www.brigittedale.com/blog
I hope she doesn't mind my posting this, but lots of fans look forward to seeing this vlog every day, fans who would sorely miss those cool strike photos and Brigitte's warped sense of humor. WE

Strike my previous comment.

To Brigitte,
You seem to have been standing in one corner outside. We were wondering if you would have a Brigitte's Corner Special.

No Golden Globes because of the strike? They should have a strike every year.

How can you mention a "heat wave" on the one hand and dress up like an Eskimo on the other?
What's wrong with this picture?
