According to the Hollywood Reporter, the CW is using the opportunity of the WGA Strike to experiment with its schedule. This includes a relocation of its entire Monday comedy block to Sunday. Gossip Girl and Reaper will also move, eventually settling on Monday and Thursday nights, respectively.Leave it to corporate America to turn a negative into a positive like this. With the WGA Strike in full swing and many of the networks unable to broadcast new material, the most fledgling of all the networks is going to try and see if they can get their ratings up by moving more established shows to new nights. It may even work as networks run low on new material to broadcast to the audience. Of course, the CW will run out of scripted material eventually, the same as every other network. In my opinion, the difference between scripted shows and reality shows is that scripted shows have a much higher rerun value. People have a lesser tendency to watch reality show repeats.
I tend to doubt that changing the schedule will bring significant change to the CW's ratings, but I could be wrong. The strike certainly gives an opportunity for experimentation like this. The new schedule is listed in the article.

Moving the entire Monday block to Sunday?!?! Ummm, that was tried once before and the move very nearly killed EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS! Maybe with less real competition it won't hurt as badly this time, but if that goes on Sunday at 8:00, that will be the OTHER show in that time slot with fresh episodes. The other...THE SIMPSONS! Bad move CW. I love REAPER, but where are SMALLVILLE and SUPERNATURAL going?????

I'm curious too. Is Reaper taking over Smallville's or Supernatural's timeslot? If it's Supernatural, then where will it be going?

Maybe Supernatural ran out of episodes?
And having Reaper against House was a stupid idea anyways.

And having Reaper against LOST is better? Thats a pretty high rating vechicle too especially with the buzz its been getting after the last finale. Wish they moved Reaper to Wednesday. I watch nothing on wednesday and I'm usually home by 9pm that day.

If the CW were smart (CW and smart - two things never to be used in the same sentence) they would move "Life Is Wild" to a different night. I mean sure, it has completed "its initial order" but if the ratings are to believed, no one has actually "seen" it in its current Sunday time slot.
In all seriousness, "Life Is Wild" is the sort of TV show that people say they want; a quality family friendly show, with no violence or "sexual content"; in other words not unlike "Seventh Heaven." And yet the show is lucky to draw a million viewers. Either people really don't want that sort of show or it's on the wrong night and opposite the wrong competition ("Extreme Makeover Home Edition," football, and "The Amazing Race").
