Lost: The 8 minutes 15 seconds recap

LostIf you are one of the few people who haven't watched ABC's Lost yet and want to start this coming season but don't want to have to watch the DVD sets for the three previous seasons, ABC just put online what you seek: the ultimate Lost recap!

Narrated by a hyper woman, this 8 minutes and 15 seconds recap (get it? 815...) will not only bring those who never watched the show up-to-date but also help hard-core fans remember what happened since Flight 815 crashed.

It is a narrated montage of tiny clips and images that highlight the main events: crash, pilot's death, smoke monster, Sayid meeting Rousseau, the statue with four toes, the Tailies, Othersville, Ben's lies, "Not Penny's Boat," the flash forward and so much more!

The narration is to the point and emotionless but does have it's humor:

"Sawyer wants a kiss from Kate." - Narrator
"What?" - Kate
"The kiss." - Narrator

A six quickly appears on the screen, then we see the flash forward.
"Flash-forward to an unspecified time in the future. Jack is a broken man living in L.A. Jack has a beard. He's a drunk and addicted to pills. Jack calls Kate on his cool new phone. They meet out by the airport. Jack tells Kate..." - Narrator
"We have to go back." - Jack
"So there you have it. Some will leave, some will not. Find out who in 2008." - Narrator

Having watched every episode at least twice, I wasn't sure that the recap would be for me. However, the way it's put together and the wise-cracks said by the narrator (she says Friendly throws like a girl!) make it enjoyable even for the #1 fans!

You can watch the recap clip at ABC.com's Lost page (click on "Catch up on Lost" under the small video window if the clip doesn't start by itself). The season 4 premiere will air on Thursday, January 31.
