This is my third Festivus at TV Squad and, in past years, just a few of my wishes have come true. For instance: a Kate and Sawyer hook-up on Lost, another season of My Name is Earl, and a little faith in Scrubs from NBC. All those came true after my first Festivus, last year's wish list wasn't really granted. And, CBS has yet to kill off a main character on CSI. Sara almost died, but didn't. Drat!

This year, all I really want for Festivus is for the writers to get a fair shake and for my favorite shows to return to television. But, since that's kind-of a downer, I made a list that's a little more fun.

More Sex in Dirty Sexy Money
The priest totally needs to get it on with someone other than his uptight wife and his hippie chick girlfriend. He was so yummy-looking when he shed his "father" suit and put on some real clothes.

A new show with Alan Tudyk
Oh, hey! Look at this. Alan Tudyk, who played Wash on Firefly, is evidently starring in a pilot created by Barry Sonnenfeld (Pushing Daisies). So... that puts just about everyone from Serenity back on television except Sean Maher and Ron Glass (Summer Glau is in the upcoming Terminator series).

Wrap up a few old Lost story lines before the boat arrives
There is so much happening on that island and it's about to get more complicated with the arrival of the "rescuers" who were radioed by Jack in last season's finale. How about explaining that security system for starters?

Even though it is Reality TV -- the hope that American Gladiator rocks.
Or at least starts to give Americans a taste of wacky, Japanese-style TV.

Eliot and JD won't hook up at the end of Scrubs
These two are not meant to be. At the end of last season when we were left with a cliffhanger about whether those two hooked up, I was actually angry! It's over between them. Eliot has outgrown J.D. They will forever be good friends who helped each other through residencies. The each need a happy ending that does not involve a hook-up.

The Office sticks to 30 minutes
This season of The Office has just sucked so far. NBC is bleeding more time out one of its few hit shows and it was painful to watch. The Office is meant to be a 30-minute comedy. Although I love Michael Scott and Dwight Schrute, they only should be taken in small doses. Too much and they just become ridiculous.

Fewer celebrity guest stars and more Kenneth on 30 Rock (exception will be made for Will Arnett)
The Jerry Seinfeld appearance in the season premiere pretty much set us up for some slightly funny guest stars on 30 Rock. The strength of 30 Rock is in its supporting characters: Kenneth, Jenna, Pete, Donaghey's assistant, and all the writers. Having celebrity guests takes away their screen time.
