I haven't Googled it, but I'm just going to assume that this is the first time a major TV network has opened a restaurant with a major sports franchise.
CBS and The New England Patriots (that's football for those readers who don't watch sports) have announced that they are joining together to open a new restaurant/bar called CBS Scene, and it will be one of the major attractions at the new Patriot Place entertainment and shopping complex in Foxboro, MA. The place will be 15,000 square feet and have tons of televisions, all showing CBS programming.
Hopefully the menu won't include anything that they eat on Survivor. I think we can safely bet the place will have "Brady Burgers" and "How I Met Your Muffins" and maybe even "Moon-Lite Beer." How about a "Two and a Half Sandwiches" lunch special?
The establishment is set to open in the fall of 2008. I assume (*cough cough*) that the writers strike will be settled by then. If not the place will be probably show endless repeats of Letterman and CSI on all those screens.

ESPN has a line of restaurant/sports bar/game centers so why shouldn't a network station try it I went to the one in Chicago with my 9yr old nephew and it was like the motherland for a sports freak little boy!

Les Moonves was in the owner's skybox during Sunday's Patriots/Steelers game, so I'd assume that's what he was there for. Discuss it during the day before; go to the game Sunday.
