  • Mel Tolkin: He was best known as the head writer for the classic Sid Caesar variety show Your Show of Shows in the 50s. He also wrote for All in the Family, The Danny Kaye Show, Sanford, and was a producer on the Tony Randall comedy Love, Sidney. He also wrote material for Jerry Lewis, Danny Thomas, and Bob Hope. He died of heart failure in L.A. at age 94.

  • Pauline Mercer: She started as a volunteer at Boston's WGBH in 1955 and then worked there full-time for the next 38 years. She worked on Masterpiece Theatre and Mystery! and was a producer for Elliot Norton Reviews. She died in Massachusetts at age 89.
