Hey everyone. We thought it was time for a quick State of TV Squad post, since we've had a few things to mention to y'all this week. So rather than bore you with multiple posts about it, why not lump it all into one?

First order of business: TV Squad's Boston meet-up. It's tomorrow (Friday) night, and at least a few of us bloggers will be there (one virtually -- you'll see). Not only do I have a suitcase-sized duffel bag full of TV on DVD to give away, Sling Media (creators of the SlingBox) has been incredibly gracious enough to sponsor the event. They've also given me a SlingBox Solo and SlingLink Turbo to give away to one lucky attendee, as well as a few t-shirts (we'll have some TV Squad t-shirts as well).

Next thing: the new commenting system. That actually took us pleasantly by surprise, as the Blogsmith team gave us an early Festivus gift and allowed you to do all sorts of neat things with comments. Rather than repeat all of the nifty features, I'll let this post at Download Squad do it for us. They're much better at that sort of thing anyway.

I hope you're not sick of the giveaways yet, because those are still pouring in. I actually hand-pick these giveaways based on what I think the readers will dig, so I hope I'm doing a decent job of that. I mean, if I let every giveaway fly through our doors, that's all we'd be posting! Coming soon: Young Indy Jones volume 2, Benny Hill complete series, Get Smart! complete series, The Simpsons movie and, trust me, more. I'm also hoping to see the Battlestar Galactica: Razor DVD, but we'll just have to see.

Finally, Festivus is fast approaching, and we'll once again be featuring our 12 Days of Festivus posts, our post-holiday loot spending guides and more. Keep an eye out for those in the coming weeks and into January.
