Danke schoen, Yahoo! I've had many a sleepless night since Wayne Newton was sidelined with a recurring heart infection, canceled his holiday gig in Vegas and put his participation in the Dancing with the Stars tour in jeopardy. I have a pile of panties and bras next to my bed ready to go (Because Wayne expects his fans to throw bras and panties at him on stage, of course. Why else would I have so many? Or any at all?).
"I'm thrilled that my doctors have given me the OK to hit the road this winter and perform for all of my fans across the country," Newton announced. The three month tour begins December 18. I'd say more, but I have to go pack all my stuff. I'm going to go Deadhead on this tour and follow them around, smoking ... er ... medicinal herbs, dressing in brightly colored tuxes and getting extensive plastic surgery at each stop. And I'm legally changing my name to Mr. Las Vegas, Jr.

Back on October 17th, after the DWTS Results 4 show, I posted on this site that I felt Wayne was terribly out of breath when he sang. So much so that it scared me - I thought he might pass out, and I suggested he see a Dr.
I'm glad to see that he did and that he is do OK.

Is this sucker hard up for money or what? Dancing is definitely not his "cup of tea". Perhaps he should stick to the nightclubs in Las Vegas, sing the (2) songs he knows and let the dancing alone before he breaks his f-c-i-g neck.

Wayne is a very accomplished musician who plays many instuments. He's an OK singer, not the best but not bad.
An Ok dancer but certainly not gifted.
I've seen him in Vegas several times, a very well rounded performer. I have also met him through our love of horses, he is quite a plesant person.
When our organization needed help with the horses that needed tending to after the major bombing and our soldiers were helping to save what was left of the herd, he responded when contacted and helped expedite the stalled air lift. He's not Bob Hope, but the man truly cares.
My only wish is that he could have seen what we saw. A wonderful handsome person on the inside that never had to use surgery to show that kindness from within. The same could be said of Kenny Rogers and Burt Renyolds.
Celebrities in particular are too preoccupied by what the mirror tells them when it's the goodness and the smile from within that makes one beautiful.
