Ever since Rosie O'Donnell left The View, there have been several reports that she might join one of the cable news channels to host a talk show. She even fueled the rumors at one point (though there have been many rumors swirling since she left the ABC morning show). Now it turns out that this is one of those rumors that happens to be true: MSNBC confirms that they are in talks to have Rosie join the network.
She would probably get the 9PM slot. Right now the slot is taken up by the needless Live with Dan Abrams, so that would be a natural place to start. Rosie even said at a book signing in Miami recently that she would be competing with "the guy with the suspenders and the long, long face" (hmmm...who could she be talking about?). O'Donnell might even sign a deal where her show would not only be seen on MSNBC but would also be rerun on NBC. But it's not a done deal yet.

Just lost my business too. Used to like Rosie until she went off the deep end. More than once. She needs to go to Iraq and vaccinate chickens. Now that would be funny to watch.

Well, this will surely cause a commotion on the blogs.
Personally, other than the 9/11 conspiracy, I kinda like Rosie. I love watching conservatives foam over her, especially when she wants to bring home the troops, which, in their eyes, makes her on the same side as the enemy.
She will always cause controversy, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Love her or hate her, she'll never be boring, something you can't say about Larry King. Anytime I have insomnia, I turn on Larry and I'm out in ten minutes.
Good for Rosie.

MSNBC just started to seem like a news channel, this is a step backwards.
Unless she takes the 10pm timeslot and get rid of those damn child molester shows.

her Bush Derangement Syndrome will fit in nicely with the rest of MSNBC's stable of olberman and mathews.
Why does this woman get work? Wasn't she originally a comedian? Seems like she's failed at that, failed as an actress. I guess she has succeeded as someone who stirs up controversies.

MSNBC used to report on news, they have been getting more and more to the left, but that's just Olberman, if you want right wing lies watch Billo. :-p
But recently I need to watch all three news channels, and the other day Fox was reporting on the mess in Pakistan when MSNBC was taking a nap. That's just sad.

I have long been a fan of Rosie's. Loved her show, thought she added good variety to "The View". I think she can succeed in what she sets her mind uo to do. People are bashing her because she is open, honest and caring. Isn't that what we want from others?? Don't we teach our children to be themselves and speak the truth? Why as adults do we dislike people and put them down for being themselves? It would be different if she was hurt others. If you don't like her or her views, don't watch-that is your right and your freedom. She will always have my support and loyality!
