NBC has cast Justin Bruening as the lead in the upcoming TV movie version of Knight Rider. Bruening is one of the stars of All My Children. Coincidentally, David Hasselhoff was also a soap star during the 1980s when he was cast to play the lead role in the Knight Rider series. This upcoming movie is being called a "Transformers-inspired sequel to the 1980s series about a man and his talking car." NBC is tugging on the heartstrings of my generation. All of us 30-somethings went to see Transformers this summer, didn't we? And didn't it totally suck? So, will we watch NBC's revival of Knight Rider? Oh... probably. I'd also watch a revival of The A-Team, The Scarecrow and Mrs. King, and Hill Street Blues (oh, wait. every copy drama is a remake of Hill Street Blues).
NBC says that if the movie does well, there's a possibility it could lead to another series.

Oh boy, this is creepy! Justin Breuning played Jamie Martin on All My Children, the son of Tad Martin, who is played by Michael E. Knight. I think Michael E. Knight used to be married to Catherine Hickland, who was at one time married to David Hasselhoff!

Uh, no.
Every single one of my mates who have seen it loved it. Granted, we're only just or almost just about 30 but you're totally wrong there.
What wasn't to like about it - fast cars, cool robots, big explosions - pretty much what I thought a film about transforming robot cars would have in it.

Who cares about the humans? What about K.I.T.T? Are they going to go with William Daniels' classic "'Flamboyant' English Professor" take or go in another direction?
My nominations:
Michael Urie from Ugly Betty as a sarcastic Infiniti G37 for the classic Magnum wannbe dirving a Cyber-Higgins vibe.
A new "urban" version with Cedric The Entertainer as a wise cracking Cadillac Escalade that teaches Michael Knight how to loosen up, dance, and finaly ask that girl out on a date!
A BSG style "re-imagining" with Willem Defoe as a borderline psychotic Dodge Charger that intimidates and minaipulates Michael into being an assassin for a shadowy Govement agency, ultimately making him question his own sanity and humanity.

I'm with the commenters. Transformers was awesome, and the 1986 movie was one of my favorite movies when I was growing up.
And, hell yeah, Megan Fox. The things I would give up for a night with her...
