Do not take what I am going to say the wrong way, because I don't condone racism.

The conversation was between "Dog" and his son, in private and on the phone. To me this was an invasion of privacy. He should be trying to find the person who leaked it, and take legal action against them.

Now on the other hand, he appears to be "on camera" all the time, so I would figure he would be smarter. I enjoy watching his show, and I think was crazy that he was arrested for capturing a rapist, just because they were in Mexico. I would think Mexico would want that criminal out of their country, but they used that situation as a power play. Anyways, Dog messed up, and he should face the consequences.

They played Dogs racist rant on Howard Stern today and from what I heard, it didn't sound like he was having a conversation, but instead you only heard dog and it sounded like he was leaving a message on his answering machine.

The funniest part was when he said that he didn't want his son dating a black woman because his family lets the N word fly and did not want that situation arising and having her tell the press and make him the next Michael Richards. Ironically, he did that all on his own.

The so-called "full" version is at National Enquirer. It is a conversation between Dog and son and, believe it or not, there does seem to be more to the story. Specifically, is this girlfriend scheming with some other supposedly psycho chick to tape record and catch Dog in some racist rant---or isn't she? The son, who is "in love," says no. Dog, obviously, disagrees. Cue the career implosion.

There is a bit of comparison with Imus. Both are scraggly-faced old white guys. Both have weird, hideous hairdos and like to dress up like cowboys or indians. Both achieved their successes by being exciting, on-the-edge personalities with loose tongues and occasionally questionable morals. Both are recovering drug abusers. Both have damaged/killed their careers in similar, extremely stupid ways.

For the record, I thought Imus was railroaded and got jobbed by CBS and MSNBC. Although what he said about the Rutgers players was silly, insulting, and degrading, I still think he should have kept his show. (Then again, "Imus in the Morning" was one of my favorite shows for the decade+ it was on, so I may be biased in his favor)

But Dog? Dog's comments are on another level, and are a clear indication of his feelings toward black people. You can feed him to the dogs for all I care about him. (heh)

I am a black women who enjoyed Dog - catching the bad guys!!! But dang Dog, you really missed up. I have watched you show compassion to others (after being apprehended) and still do you job. I have watched you and your wife treat those caught by giving kind words of advise and even offering cigerettes. Was this all an act? How can you daily use the "n" word w/o thinking? This word has always been a word to humiliate and belittle, how can one say that it was not meant in "that way" I am sooo tired of ignorant ("n"ish) people aplogizing for what is a well known term of belittlement. I am dissappointed in you Dwayne and rightfully so.

But, there #17, your numbers do represent anything to do with the prison population relative to the percentages of blacks that find themselves within the statistic of the criminal justice system. Hopefully your "business" has no white consumers because your numbers do not reflect the reality of the confirmed statistics of prisons within the U.S.A.
