The producers of The Office continue to amaze me with their attention to detail. Last week's episode mentioned that Dwight's attempt at a side career -- his agro-hotel Schrute Farms -- had a listing on the popular travel ratings site TripAdvisor. Sure enough, someone at either the show or NBC had the wherewithal to work with the site to create an actual listing for Schrute Farms, giving users the chance to rate and comment comment on it just as they would on a Hilton or Days Inn.
As of now, there are 182 reviews, a number of which were written before the episode aired on Thursday (a funny example: "I told the owner I was coming into town for a technology meeting. He told me technology tried to kill him once and hung up the phone.") It seems like the reviews are written by real users, since clicking on the IDs yield lists of previous comments on real hotels. So I wonder if the writers worked with TripAdvisor to get recruit people to write reviews or if it happened some more organic way (maybe people just happened to find it when looking for places to stay during this weekend's Office convention in Scranton).
It's yet another iteration of the show's increasingly expansive online presence. There is already an interactive site for Dunder-Mifflin Infinity, and of course NBC itself has an extensive official site for the show.

Actually, on Dunder Miflin Infinity they give many "tasks" such as submitting your branches office launch party video, making creed look young, and (this week) submitting a review of the Schrute Farm. The review that got the most votes by the other "workers" gets a prize of online "schrute bucks" they can use to buy desks supplies. So thats one reason why it had some reviews.
It's actually a pretty snazzy site.

if you were to look under the comments, the first comment is from Angela under the name "sprinklesmom" and the second is the exact comment from the show left by jim and pam, or "JandP2"
