  • Carol Bruce: She was well-known to TV audiences from a number of roles, including the mother of WKRP in Cincinnati's Mr. Carlson, as well as several appearances on Knot's Landing. She also appeared on The Twilight Zone (80s version), Studio One, Party of Five, Profiler, Diagnosis Murder, The Golden Girls, Jake and the Fatman, Doogie Howser, M.D., Diff'rent Strokes, Perfect Strangers, General Hospital, as well as the movies Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, American Gigolo, and the Abbott and Costello film Keep 'Em Flying. She died of pulmonary disease at age 87 in Woodland Hills, CA.
  • Bud Ekins: He was a veteran stuntman, probably best known for doing the motorcycle jump in the movie The Great Escape. He also worked on television, in such shows as Then Came Bronson and the TV movie Death Scream. He died at age 77 in Los Angeles.

  • Rodney Diak: He was a stage and screen actor who appeared in such TV shows as The Makepeace Story, The Troubleshooters, Z Cars, and Barlow at Large. He died of cancer in London at age 83.

  • James Robbins: He was the former CEO of Cox Communications, helping it become one of the biggest cable operators in the country. He died of cancer in Westport, MA at age 65.
