Stump the King - The Comeback

Duck AKA DougI had a very interesting week last week. The high point was an interview I did with Laura Silverman for my podcast. Most of you will know Laura from her role as Sarah's sister on The Sarah Silverman Program. However, she also had major roles on HBO's The Comeback and the comedy classic Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist.

She had some funny things to say about working for HBO and Comedy Central but the best part of the interview was a story she told about Sarah's pooch, Duck, who plays Doug on the Comedy Central show.

Laura often watches Duck, and he and Laura's dog Daisy get along like a brother and sister, but if you are around them for any length of time, you start to notice that there is a distinct level of competitiveness in their relationship.

Of course, there's the typical dog behavior -- peeing, mounting and the like -- but it's almost as if Daisy knows that Duck is a TV star and she's jealous.

Laura said that once while she was watching Duck, Comedy Central called and said they needed him for a photo shoot. They sent over a driver and a trainer to pick him up and pamper him like a diva. Well, after he left, Daisy sat on the couch and stared at the door as if she couldn't believe she had been left behind.

I guess it's just one of those Hollywood lessons that she had to learn the hard way.

Here is this week's question...

On The Comeback, the head writers of Room and Board, Tom & Paulie G, won Emmys for their writing. What show did they win for?

Excellent work Toby! The Simpsons is the correct answer.
