Before we start: Isn't this picture of Tiki Barber and Dr. Ruth the greatest photo? I have no idea what's going on, but i like to imagine that it captured the split second before Barber crushed Dr. Ruth's hand and flipped her over his shoulder, just to show her who's boss.Pam Anderson has married Rick Solomon. Why should you care? Pam Anderson once made a crazy sex tape with Tommy Lee and Rick Solomon is the night-vision fellow from the Paris Hilton tape. That can only mean that the craziest sex tape of all time is right around the corner. I heard it's going to be in 3-D and have Smell-O-Vision. Fancy!
"Mess O' Potamia": Coalition nations are pulling out their troops from Iraq, leaving -- not 36 nations, President Bush -- but 25 nations helping the Americans. I absolutely loved the entire "Loud and Clear" thing, poking fun at Bush's tendency to explicitly state the subtext of his speeches and visits. "He's our first meta-president!"
"Back In Black": In this edition, Lewis Black, tie askew and all, took on the beauty of non-issues. As if the General Petraeus/Betray Us ad wasn't a silly enough thing for Congress to ignore, Barack Obama's decision to not wear a patriotic lapel pin has started a bit of furor. Why? Because we don't have anything important to cover. Like a war.
The night's guest was Tiki Barber, promoting his new book, Tiki: My Life in the Game and Beyond. Barber was a lovely guest. He pretty much did everything a pleasant guest was supposed to do and charmed the pants off Jon and the audience, I think. If I was into football, I'm sure I'd be a fan of him. He talked about his twin brother, his football life, and his new work for NBC's Today Show.
Jon/Stephen: Stephen Colbert has a new book out, in case you haven't heard from the last sixty thousand times he's mentioned it. Moment of Zen: Bill Richardson loves America. His lapel says so.

Tiki was a fine guest, though I'm kinda curious what Jon was saying about Costas just before the commercial. He said something along the lines of "You tell that Costas..." before the mic got cut off. Just wondering.
For all that, I think Stephen had the better interview last night. Anyone else see it? Pretty impressive technical achievement too.
Since Bush is spending all his time playing meta-president, does that mean Cheney really is in charge?

That "Loud and Clear" segment was, I think, the best and most incisive examination of who George Bush is that I have ever seen. I've sent the MotherLoad clip to everyone I know. Genius!
