Well, Danny Bonaduce didn't get away with it after all. He's being sued by Survivor pipsqueak Jon Dalton (a.k.a. Jonny Fairplay) for "battery and infliction of emotional distress".You've probably seen the video by now (if not, it's after the jump). Jonny Fairplay and Bonaduce were on the stage together during some reality awards show for FOX when Fairplay jumped on Bonaduce and dry humped him.
Well, obviously Jonny Fairplay is not up to speed on his reality television. If he was, he would know that the two reality stars you don't want to piss off are Danny Bonaduce and Tom Sizemore. Anyway, Bonaduce is super strong and he lifted Fairplay up over his head and tossed him backwards onto the stage. Fairplay landed on his face and ended up all bloody. I think he lost a few teeth, too.
Jonny Fairplay tried to press charges against Bonaduce for he incident, but the District Attorney ruled there was insufficient evidence to charge Bonaduce since Fairplay started it. Really, a lawsuit is his only option. But, will Bonaduce's money erase the public humiliation that has made the video very popular on YouTube? Let's hope not.

When I first heard about the original incident I thought Danny Bonaduce would be at fault, but after watching, the video that Johnny guy completely assaulted Danny (not in a violent way-more of an annoying assault on personal space) all Danny then did was throw him off over his head. I don't think he meant for the idiot to get hurt, but he deserved it. This Johnny guy is an arse...

Bonaduce should file a countersuit for emotional distress. I would be distressed if that ass had jumped on me too...

Fairplay's action was an assault. Bonaduce's action was the completely legal response to and assault. I certainly hope Bonaduce counter sues.
And I hate Bonaduce.

Isn't being Johnny Fairplay in and of itself an emotionally distressing situation?

I am really amazed at how many people have used their distaste for Bonaduce to determine his guilt in this matter.
1) This is the Reality TV awards. It's no secret that a) Danny is nuts and b) Danny is dangerous. So in situations like this where something goes wrong, do you fault the Tiger or the reaching through the bars trying to grab his tail?
2) Many assume he should've simple laid him down like a baby but I challenge EVERYONE to imagine carrying a grown man in that position. Arms under a guys thighs with him dry humping you. It may seem odd, but if you're trying it right now then an upward movement (bicep curl) really is the easiest way out of this.
3) A grown man jumps in your arms and puts his crotch that close to you. I just don't see how it is suddenly your responsibility to remove that crotch in a safe and appropriate manner.
4) Danny caught him but if you look he did stumble a bit. What if Danny went down and hit his head? What if Danny side-stepped and Fairplay missed and faceplanted? The bottom line is that we learned this lesson as kids. Horseplay leads to someone getting hurt.
Bonaduce is getting convicted (in the public eye) based on his reputation rather than based on the situation.

Ya poor Danny Bonaduce. I mean poor guy didn't have choice but to go on stage. Oh wait... maybe he did and in his druken stupor he made a decision which has left him liable and pretty much responsible for whatever transpired from that point forward.

I think Danny was completely correct in his reactions...I likely would've done the same thing. Unfortunately, I think we're going to see one of two scenarios. 1) Danny lets this go to trial, and there's enough asshats on the jury (civil trials do not require a unanimous jury) that either hate Danny or love Survivor enough to find in Jonny (not so) Fairplay's favor; or 2) Danny, realizing the likelihood of scenario 1, settles out of court for an undisclosed (until Jonny starts screaming about how much money he screwed Danny out of) sum of money. The only way I see justice being served is if a jury finds that Jonny owes Danny compensation for assault and mental (there's a joke in itself) anguish. Free Danny!!

Cole... all 6 comments before you supported Bonaduce (in this incident) and not Fairplay, so chill. I don't think the visitors of this site are THAT skewed away from general "public opinion".
Anyway, I thought Fairplay has done some amount of pro wrestling -- shouldn't he know how to fall, after being thrown like that, to not get injured at ALL?

What kind of logic is that? Some jackass jumps on me and starts dry humping me, I'm going to throw him off too. It doesn't matter why. Unless I assault the guy first, there's no question. Bonaduce coming on stage had nothing to do with that tool's jumping on him as such.
No, Mr. "Fairplay" is completely at fault and this case will get thrown out.

I'm sure Bonaduce doesn't mind being sued so long as he stays in the press.
Man that Jonny Fairplay really is a wuss. I mean, he fell from what, 4 feet 10 inches and gets injured...? Weak.
Get it? Cos' Bonaduce is short.

Trust me where I come from alot more would have happened to the want to be if he did something like that. Let alone in public or on camera. Bottom line both will get lots of free P.R. and make money off of this.If you ask me they are both rejects that society cant seem to get enough of. The fifteen minutes of fame should be up?

Johnny Fairplay is no stranger to "mental anguish". He just LOVES to inflict it on OTHER people.
He has no morals & no other motive than to make press & make money... without doing a minute of actual work. I'm surprised someone hasn't beat the tar out of him before. He's pulled many, many stunts just like what he did to Bonaduce & everyone coddles him, even if they don't like him. It's about time someone stood up to him.
I'm not a Bonaduce fan, normally, but it's blatantly obvious he was accosted by the freak of the week & had every right to defend himself.

Jonny Fairplay is a loser dickhead and he deserved to be thrown over Danny's head, And as you can plainly see in the video Danny was in no way being violent or malicious, Danny should counter-sue for sexual harrassment!!!

I doubt Fairplay will win in court against Bonaduce. However, this was not self-defense. Does anyone think that Bonaduce really feared Fairplay was going to hurt him. When he threw Fairplay over his head, he did not even drop the jacket he was holding in his left hand. He did it effortlessly.
According to this video, he mentioned Fairplay and how he wanted to beat his ass. It will also be brought up that Bonaduce didn't just push him off, which he could have done easily.
Ultimately, the case will have no merit. Fairplay jumped on Bonaduce. Bonaduce removed him. Case closed.
