Another fall, another new fall season. Not all of the new shows can survive, of course, and it usually takes a few weeks to figure out what shows are in trouble of being canceled (or, as they say in network-speak, "on hiatus"). We'd like to see new shows get more time to catch on, but thems the breaks. One show has already been pulled from the schedule, FOX's Nashville, but what about other new shows?
This article has a quick rundown of the shows that have either been getting terrible reviews, bad ratings from the start, or have seen a big drop in numbers after their first week (actually, a lot of shows have a drop after their first week, but these shows stand out). The shows include K-Ville, which got good ratings its first week but has seen a sharp drop ever since. Journeyman is slipping too, even though it comes after the hit Heroes (looks like nothing can survive that time period). Cavemen got OK numbers but the writing is on the wall for that sitcom. And Big Shots isn't doing as well as ABC had hoped, even though it's after Grey's Anatomy.
So maybe if you picked one of the above shows in the contest, you're happy this afternoon.

That's too bad, I like K Ville. In fact it's the only new show I'm watching. The cast is incredible. It's a little too heavy handed with the New Orleans theme and setting but the writing is excellent. Fox is just promoting this show all wrong. Stop focusing on NO and start focusing on an extremely well written crime drama.

That figures...Titus ends up back on tv and it's for ABC...it'll be cancelled (knights of prosperity anyone). I just hope for Christopher Titus' sake it stays on.

I picked Moonlight or whatever it is called, mainly to be different, but because I heard there was a lot of crap going on behind the cameras.

K-ville is gone. The New Orleans sites may be to much for viewers. Only saw a half an hour of Moonlight and it kind of sucked. Big shots is funny and Journeyman is good. Which means Journeyman will go. Figures. Kind of like Studio 60! Like it.....gets killed.

Can you legitimately still say "after the hit Heroes"? Heroes has come in third in its timeslot each week and lost many viewers too. Journeyman is in no bettor or worse shape than Chuck or Bionic Woman. nbc's 'baby' 30rock comes in 4th in its timeslot! The problem is where does nbc start...they can't just throw out the entire line up, can they?

I hope Pushing Daisies doesn't end up on this list, but I expect it will. It's too quirky to live :(

I watched a few minutes of K-Ville last week and thought it sucked. I haven't watched any of the other shows on the list.
The only new shows I'm watching are Chuck (fresh and highly entertaining) and Big Bang Theory (formulaic but surprisingly good). I started Pushing Daisies, but my DVR deleted it before I could finish.

I watched the entire first episode of K-Ville and thought it sucked. Too bad, I really like Anthony Anderson.
I'm just glad Life and Reaper aren't on this list. Still worried about Life, but Reaper is on (whatever that channel is called that WB + UPN turned into) and they aren't so quick to pull the cancel trigger.

Yes, you can still say the hit Heroes because NBC is not doing THAT well relative to other networks.
Anyways I hope Journeyman sticks around. I understand it's NOT a show to put on at 10pm. But if people are awake enough, it's a really good show.

I'm sorry to see Journeyman on the list, but somehow I suspected that it wouldn't last.
Still, I'm hoping that Cavemen falls first...

I like Journeyman but I never have time to watch it. CSI Miami is awful this year too so I hope Journeyman stays in case I want to watch TV.

Is it time to start collecting timepieces to send into the NBC offices to save Journeyman yet?

Sorry, they're basing Journeyman's slide on search engines searches? Cuz, wow, that's scientific.
Alas, I feel it's probably too much for the masses, but hopefully somebody like USA or SciFi will buy it instead. I know I'll continue to watch it for as long as it's on the air.
And wth is Big Shots? I've never even heard of it...

I like K-Ville and Big Shots. First commenter (Verbal) has it right...downplay the NO aspect and focus more on the crimes...it's very well written and I totally dig it. Me and the GF both really like Big Shots, because it's one of those guilty pleasure shows that lets you revel in the assholery of the absurdly wealthy without getting too caught up in it. The first 3 cancellations I picked were Moonlight, Viva Laughlin, and Cavemen.

If K'ville wasn't up against MNF and Heroes, I might watch it, maybe Thursday at 9pm.

I really want to like Journeyman. I keep on giving it a chance every week. When he is back in time and interacting with his first wife (was it fiance?) it is interesting, when he interacts with his second wife I am bored! Also, it makes me slightly uncomfortable that he barely sees his kid. Maybe one more week.....

At least (for the time being,) New Orleans HAS a show set there. Houston is still the largest city in America without a TV show fictionally "based" on the city. I think Houston got an external shot during one ep of Criminal Minds last year, so that will have to do.
That said, KVille's first two shows looked a bit thin on the actual CRIME, and while SAVING GRACE can get away with that because everyone is busy watching Grace hump anything with a pulse, KVille has Jake and The Fatman running around with bad accents and plot holes. I won't be watching KVille anytime soon.

Think the interaction between the Journeyman and his real world wife (second wife) would be a lot more interesting if they talked about the cases he's trying to solve in each jump.
Instead they just keep bickering about what to do because of his Jumping curse/gift. She keeps doing the frustration thing over and over again, and he just keeps apologizing over and over again. That's getting tedious in a hurry.
Anyone agree/disagree?
