Can someone explain to me why Rosie O'Donnell even cares about this now that she has left The View and has moved on to other things?
ABC released a statement saying that ratings for the show are up 16% since she left the show and Whoopi took over her spot. But Rosie questions those numbers on her blog (in a post titled TRUTH IN ADVERTISING BABY!!) and gives the "real deal" when it comes to the ratings. Her post is rather confusing, using lots of numbers and plus and minus symbols and percentages. She points out that younger viewers are down and older viewers are up, which isn't good for the show.
Another question I need help with: does Rosie write these blog posts herself? I ask because she says "I think we need to do something with the lovely people at the view insisting that the numbers are up without Rosie when in fact they are down." She talks about herself in the third person? Or does someone else write her blog entries sometimes?

Someone else wrote the blog post regarding the numbers. Rosie admits in the comments that she has no clue what the numbers or symbols mean. Plus, she writes in funky haiku format so you'd know her writing when you read it (if you can decipher it). The one next to Gene Simmons (and I'm rofl at that one) is Helene, one of her friends and hair person. I know way too much about someone I don't particularly like but I also like to keep up other opinions. Hope this helped.

Though I agree that Rosie should stop caring about The View, I disagree about the numbers being hard to understand. Especially since right below the numbers would be the explanation for said numbers. Just sayin'.

I am neither a fan of Rose nor The View, but the one thing Rosie had going for her when she was on TV was she had a makeup artist. I'm sorry but Gene Simmons looks better than she does (rofl at the comment, tho). I know webcams aren't the best resolution and all that, but jeebus she looks so damn splotchy that she looks like she's been in an hour long screaming and crying rant! If the person next to her is a hairdresser, get her to hook a sister up. Even if it's at the K-Mart makeup counter!

I think Whoopi is a HUGE improvement over Rosie. She's much more thoughtful, intelligent and she knows how to play with others. There's a place for Rosie somewhere, but not on The View. She really doesn't know how to play with others. Star didn't either, but I enjoy her new show on Court TV. They are women who need their own gig because of their very overbearing personalities. Rosie is really full of herself, but I don't get that feeling with Whoopi. I'm thrilled with the new panel of women on The View. I think Barbara W has a winner on her hands for now.

The View is so much better without Rosie. No one else could get a word in edgewise and it turned into the Gay View. I stopped watching the View because of her and now I'm back! Whoopi is smarter, funnier and more personable.
