Well, the first big Monday night ratings battle is over, and the outcomes is really no surprise to anyone, though some of the specific numbers are interesting.
ABC won the night overall with their premieres of Dancing with the Stars and The Bachelor. Heroes did really well too, up 10% from the same period last season. Journeyman must be a bit of a letdown for NBC, considering the Heroes lead-in. Ratings were down 26% from the Studio 60 premiere last season.
CBS came in third for the night, with it's lineup of How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, Rules of Engagement, and CSI: Miami (the David Caruso show got the highest ratings of the night). FOX was next with Prison Break and K-Ville, followed by The CW with their comedy repeats.
So what did you watch last night?

I watched Heroes and JourneyMan and I actually really liked JM! It was fun, fast paced and worth the watch. Heroes was great to see, I missed it over the summer!

I wouldn't make the Studio 60 comparison yet. Studio 60 was the most hyped show of last year and then lost its audience. Journeyman is just starting to get some buzz and will build...will it grow fast enough for NBC? That remains to be seen.

BACHELOR had a LARGE drop-off in the second half-hour overall(14%), so I wonder if that's just because people waited to turn off their TV after DANCING or whether they just really didn't like BACHELOR at all? Next weeks ratings may see a swap in order. I could see ABC falling a spot since they only held the top adult spot by a few tenths if I'm not mistaken (4.7 to 4.63). I wonder what NBC is going to throw into JOURNEYMAN's spot in two or three weeks...

Watched the beginning of HIMYM (was DVRing it - love to rewatch these all year long (I still have Slap Bet and several others in my DVR until the season 2 dvd drops on 10/4)) with my sister who was watching it live before leaving to watch Heroes over at a friends house (partially live, we watched Family Guy's season premiere from the night before and started Heroes a little late so we could fast forward the commercials) and then we watched Chuck (which we were TiVoing while watching Family Guy). When I got home at 11, I watched Dancing with the Stars on mostly fast-forward and started the Bachelor. I still have the rest of the Bachelor, Weeds and Californication to watch when I get home tonight.

Journeyman - didn't keep my interest after 20 minutes. blink of an eye time warp or rehab patient?
now Chuck, I was surprised with and thought was funny and had a "hipness" about it.

I watched Heroes. I had already seen the Chuck and Journeyman pilots.

I wonder if the easy access to these pilots for rental and on OnDemand lead to some of the lower ratings for them?

I definitely tuned in for How I Met Your Mother. I have to admit after that I went to bed since I get up super early in the am. I'm sorry I missed Journeyman though, I wanted to give it a shot. I'll try harder next week!

I watched nothing live, but Tivo'd everything ... that way I can skip through the commericals. After watching some IT Crowd episodes to pass the time (LOVE that show! The Brit version, of course ... have some doubts if the US version will be made or be interesting), I watched HIMYM, DWTS, and Chuck. Tonight I have to catch up on Heroes and JM. Then I can start watching everything I'm Tivo'ing for tonight: Bones, more DWTS, House ... phew! Thank god we're super nerdy and have a 4 Tivos that can record up to 6 shows at once!

I didn't want to like Chuck, and had written it off after too many commercials. However, the show wasn't what I had expected and about half way through I started to find it entertaining and sometimes funny. Hereos was classic as always - loved the ending. Journeyman was okay - not sure its in the right timeslot.

Since I am in germany I watched in order of what got done first.
70.000 people are on the Heroes Torrent and god damn it is slow...
If German TV would finally be able to offer me the original sound I would still be watching german TV. I simply can't stand how shows are translated, how bad some voice-actors are doing their job, how bad they are casting certain roles for the voice-acting and, of course, that I'd have to wait between 6 months and forever for it to get here ("Rescue Me" and "West Wing" never air(ed) here)
