"Aw, cut it out Eddie, will ya?"
Ken Osmond, who played Eddie Haskell on 'Leave It To Beaver' but did not become a porn star after the show ended (that's an urban myth - he actually became a cop) is suing the Screen Actors Guild. He says that SAG has collected more than $8 million from foreign residuals but has not shared that money with SAG members and non-members. Osmond's attorney has also filed suits against the Directors Guild and the Writers Guild over the past few years. It could be a class-action suit if others join in. Osmond says that SAG will not show him their books.
"And Jerry Mathers as ... The Beaver."

He could have had better tact with SAG, like saying "Why, hello everyone at SAG. My, you're looking lovely this evening."

I hope this guy collects at least some of what he's owed.
It gets tiring to read about 'the suits' screwing the artists in our society.

It's an even bigger myth that people believed he became a porn star or Jerry Mather died in Vietnam.
I never met anybody who ever fell for these myths that writers repeat over and over. Its like a writers mantra or a requirement to mention them ad nauseum....

I doubt that any of the child actors of the past have ever gotten all the money they were entitled to get for their work. There were many hours of enjoyment for my family from the old sitcoms, and, of course, many hours of hard work from the actors to give them to us. I hope he and the others involved get the money they are entitled to get.

He subsequently made a very un-Eddie-like career choice by joining the Los Angeles Police Department. He grew a mustache to help secure his anonymity. A long-time member of its vice squad, he was wounded three times during the line of duty, eventually retired and earned a medical disability pension from the police force.

After retiring from the police force, he made his living from various Los Angeles-based rental properties which he maintained himself.
Spent most of his 18 years of service assigned to Central Traffic Division where he was rarely recognized as 'Leave It to Beaver' character.
