NBC has nabbed Lauren Graham, now that her schedule is clear thanks to the cancellation of Gilmore Girls. According to Variety, the network has inked a seven-figure development deal with Graham in which NBC will create a series for the actress. The signing is one of the first big moves by NBC's new entertainment president, Ben Silverman.Graham is no stranger to NBC, having roles on NewsRadio, 3rd Rock From the Sun, and and Seinfeld early in her career. She didn't say much about her big signing deal, but did say that she's happy about the direction Silverman is taking the network.
Okay, Gilmore Girls fans: What kind of series would you like to see Lauren Graham in?

For completely selfish reasons, I would much prefer if she's out of a job.
If her new series takes off, then the Gilmore Girls TV-movie that ASP mentioned a while back would be far less likely.

Anything's good but if there's a mother role, they really couldn't get better chemistry than K. Bishop (her mother on GG).

I think her perfect roll would be that of a hard-boiled urban cop who care more fot the law than the rules.

A "Brothers & Sisters"-ish family drama.

Something where it doesn't seem as if she's just in it for the money.
So nothing.

Any show will make me happy. I watched a Studio 60 episode just because she had 3 lines in it.
I love her, Gilmore Girls wasn't canceled, it ended, and frankly I think it ended well considering what the creators did to that show. I hope they never make a Gilmore Girls movie because the creators wrecked their show, than ditched it, and the new guy did a great job trying to fix it.
The best news is NBC has no shows so her show should get at least a full season. :)

I would really like to see her staring in something that Sorkin writes.

Graham is smart (she has a B.A. in English, I believe) and her character on Gilmore Girls showed that off. I think it helped set Graham apart from her peers (30-ish pretty actresses on TV) in a meaningful way. I think, therefore, a role that continues that trend would be best.

I'm with Casey. Bring back Sorkin, and add Matthew Perry on top.

I was never a fan of Gilmore Girls, but did like a lot of her other work so I will be looking forward to future programs featuring her.

Maybe they could green screen her into Studio 60 in place of Sarah Paulson?

A smart/funny one.
I think I would like to see LG in a Dramedy. She can do comedy and she can do drama.
