Last month we told you of Sci Fi Channel's poll for choosing the cover art for the DVD of the upcoming Battlestar Galactica - Razor TV movie. We posted our own poll and, as it turns out, the votes match up. The winning choice, seen right, is 'B'. I actually chose 'C' myself (which came in second in our poll), maybe because when thinking of the word "razor" I thought the split images matched along with that. But in all honesty, I don't really care what the cover looks like -- they were all fine choices. In other sorta-news, I guess I should mention that there's a rumor flying around that the next and final season will be split in two, with half of the episodes airing as much as ten months later than the end of the first half. I've been trying for weeks to get this confirmed, and nobody's saying anything. So really, it's just a rumor. Besides, I don't see why there's a fuss. So we have to wait a little longer -- isn't it a good thing that we get to savor the final season of this great series a few months more?
One last bit of news, though not related to this new series. It was recently announced that Battlestar Galactica 1980, the complete series, will be available on DVD December 26. So, while you're waiting around for the second half of the new Galactica series to resume, you can grab this and see why the current series kicks so much more ass.

No waiting is bad. If Sci-fi wanted 5 seasons than they should have given Moore what he wanted in the first place!
How hard would it have been for Sci-fi to give Moore two 13 episodes seasons? That's only 6 more hours than they did, 26 episode total. Instead they give 22 hours each to Painful to Watch Jane, already canceled, and Flash Gordon.
In another month we will be talking about how stupid Sci-fi is for canceling Atlantis, I can see them doing that.

Plus, if they separate the seasons then we'll end up with a split DVD set like then did with 2.0 and 2.5. The prices for those two sets were ridiculous and I'm not looking forward to doing it again.

It's been rumoured by everyone working with Moore, but he is trying to keep on good sides with Sci-fi because he's working on another show. Everyone knew he liked 13 episode seasons, yet Sci-fi couldn't give him two more 13 episode seasons?

To me the fuss over the rumored season split is because it seems like SciFi is dicking us around. When season 4 was announced as the last season I was happy because that meant we had an end in sight, we weren't going to get cut off early like Farscape did, and the story could be told properly.
Would 2 more seasons have been good? Possibly. To me though, splitting this up is SciFi saying we want two seasons worth of ad revenue, but we do not want to pay for it. However, with the choice of cancelling SG-1, starting shows like Painkiller and Flash Gordon and this possible course of action I guess we shouldn't be surprised with SciFi's track record.
