- Jane Wyman: She won an Oscar for her role in the movie Johnny Belinda, but is probably best known to TV fans as the matriarch on the primetime soap Falcon Crest and as the ex-wife of Ronald Reagan. She died at age 93 in Palm Springs, CA.
- Steve Ryan: He was a veteran character actor who was a regular on such shows as Arrested Development, Oz, Daddio, American Dreams, Wiseguy, and Crime Story. He also appeared on Las Vegas, Miami Vice, Law and Order, 7th Heaven, Boston Legal, JAG, and had a recurring role as Secretary of Defense Miles Hutchinson on The West Wing. He died at age 55 in Duarte, CA.
- Ralph Kent: He was a veteran artist for Disney who was nicknamed "The Keeper of the Mouse," because he was in charge of how the mouse was drawn and represented on merchandise. He also designed the mascots for The Buffalo Bills and The Florida Marlins sports teams. He died of cancer in Florida at age 68.

I was wondering when Jane Wyman would finally appear here. I know that most of the TV Squad bloggers are probably too young to have ever watched "Falcon Crest", but the show was on for 8 years! She was the unequivocal star, adding an element of class and grounding to a sometimes otherwise lowly nighttime soap. And she was a fine actress, too--she made the character of Angela Channing much more than a cardboard villian. I watched the final scene from "Falcon Crest" on YouTube when she died, and just in her voiceover you could hear nuance and emotion that many other actors never achieve.

Scott, the vast majority of the Squadders are in their 30s or older, so most of them remember Wyman on Falcon Crest, if they watched the show. Bob probably just wanted to hold the obit for his weekly post.
