Big Brother 8: Nomination Ceremony #11

Dick makes Jameka promise on the bible.

(S08E29)
Well, I never thought I'd see it happen, but Jameka went and made herself a deal with the devil.

The strangest part about the whole sequence was that the Devil asked Jameka to swear on the bible that she'd keep her promise.

It was the absolute last thing I expected her to do, but I'm guessing when $500K is on the line it's okay to forget your convictions for a moment...

All kidding aside, I never expected Jameka to make it this far in the game. She should be commended for the achievement, and I'm mostly joking when I say she let her convictions fly out the window (plus she never ended up swearing on the bible).

I really don't blame her for doing whatever she could to stay in the house longer. I just thought it'd be a little more difficult for her to strike a deal with someone who has treated her so poorly in earlier portions of the game.

Dick and Daniele gloat.
After a rather lengthy recap of last week's episode events we got to see Dick and Daniele gloat about the Donato win in the most recent Head of Household competition.

It's important to note that the first thing out of Daniele's mouth was something to the effect of, "We need to get Zach out of the house." This is a key point for later in the recap because Dick and Daniele are ostensibly in an alliance with Zach.

New pictures on the memory wall.
The house guests were then greeted by a set of new pictures on the memory wall. The pictures were of various events that had occurred throughout this season of Big Brother.

Head of Household Competition - Picture This

HoH 11

In the HoH competition the house guests were asked a series of questions on the new memory wall pictures. If they answered correctly they'd take one step towards the top of the platform. If they answered incorrectly they stayed on the same spot. The first person to answer seven questions correctly would win one of the most important Head of Households in the game.

The game moved pretty swiftly, and after seven correct answers, Zach and Daniele both reached the top step at the same time.

Tie breaker.
The final question was a numbers answer. The person closest to the answer without going over would win HoH.

  • What was the total number of house guests in the 13 new pictures on the memory wall.
The competition couldn't have been any closer. Daniele guessed 58 and Zach guessed 59. Zach won the HoH and extended his winning streaks during competitions.

After the HoH competition Daniele did her usual whining routine where she used the word "like" and the word "suck" an obscene number of times. The more this shows drags along the more she gets on my nerves.

Zach's Head of Household Room - Part Duex

Young Zach and family.

It was another veritable snorefest during the unveiling of Zach's HoH room, but we did get to see a picture of Zach along with his dad and brothers. Zach also got a little misty eyed after he read a letter from his family.

Almost immediately, Zach was approached by Daniele about putting Jameka up for eviction. Zach showed some reluctance with this strategy which caused Daniele to get all frustrated. She ultimately left the room flustered because she could tell Zach had intentions of putting her and her father up for eviction.

Daniele talks with Zach.

Dick worked on Zach as well but got the same result as Daniele. Dick played the, "we're in an allegiance, and we would have taken you to the final three" card. I found that comment to be pure BS. The both of them were ready to toss Zach out the front door earlier in the episode. For them to try and play the alliance card is pretty crappy. Then again, at this point "it's all game" so you can't blame anyone for doing anything anymore.

Final Nomination Ceremony

Daniele rolls her eyes at Zach.

Zach gave a strange speech during the nomination ceremony where he basically praised himself for making it this far in the game. Danielle pretty much rolled her eyes during Zach's entire speech and she and her father made several pompous comments once Zach pulled out Jameka's key and told her she was safe.

I'm absolutely done with the Donatos at this point. Their cockiness and piss poor attitude about most things has me pretty much despising them and I'm glad Zach did what he did. I pray that the nominations hold after the PoV competition on Tuesday.

I never really saw it before, but Daniele is just a passive aggressive, less articulate version of her father. I think I let her pretty smile and lovely figure blind me this entire season. I can't wait for her to get the old Italy.

Are you happy with the nominations?

If the nominations stand, who is going home this week?
