It's been a whirlwind few days for the houseguests in the Big Brother 8 house. The Head of House competition last seen starting at the end of Thursday night's show, the promise from Julie Chen that Janelle would host the Power of Veto comp ... it may all be too much!

We know from watching the show that there will be a double eviction this Thursday. And, from how Julie worded it, it sounds like two people might actually go home Thursday night, not one on Thursday and another on Sunday as is the usual.

As I told you in my last update, Zach won the Head of House competition. He put Jameka and Jessica on the block with the intent of evicting Jameka.

Last night, just when everyone was ready to go to bed early for once, Big Brother first called an indoor lockdown, then called the houseguests to the backyard for the Power of Veto competition. This was just around midnight their time. Dick got a heads up as he was told if he wanted to smoke, go have one before the lockdown.

But what they didn't expect was Janelle Pierzana from season six and the All-Stars season! The buxom blonde herself! Be still fluttering hearts!

The competition was blocked to the feeds, of course. All the good stuff is blocked to us. However, since they talk about it later, we always find out anyway. We just can't get good screen caps. From what they've been saying, it sounds like it was one of the face-morphing comps with some physical activity involved. Daniele won and Eric said he did very poorly.

Will Daniele use the veto to save either Jameka or Jessica? It's hard to tell as things change minute by minute. At first she said she didn't plan to use it and Jameka would go home this week. Now, after much talk about the different scenarios with Dick, she's leaning more towards evicting Jessica. Dick still thinks that it's a good week to evict Jameka. Eric without a doubt is pushing for a Jameka eviction -- America's Player probably named her as the one to get nominated and he is really smitten on Jessica. Zach is taking the definitive waffling position.

If the veto is used, I think it's likely that Eric might go on the block and end up in sequester-land. Zach seems really flattered by all the attention he's getting from Daniele and could let her influence his decisions. Plus, Zach seems to want to be in with the in crowd with both Dick and Daniele.

So, I just don't know right now. I also don't know if the Power of Veto Ceremony will take place on Monday or if it will also be on a slightly earlier schedule. But when I know, you'll know!

In other tidbits:

• Janelle told Dick he's "hot."
• Daniele's favorite BB houseguest is Janelle and she's tickled pink that Janelle told her she likes her.
• Eric is sore all over.
• They still have an ant problem and have also found a dead cockroach.
• Dick thinks that Jessica and Jameka both need to go because they're popular with everyone, thus the biggest threats in the game.
• They all mock Jen more than they do Amber although Amber is the most recently evicted houseguest.
• Jameka thinks that Daniele's homemade "letter" from Nick has given her an edge with Zach.
• Something Eric said caused Janelle to make some sort of derogatory comment about him.
• They don't like the cold showers they traded for bigger cups in the HOH comp.
